Tay Ninh City: Organizing the 2025 Buddha's Birthday Festival at Nhu Lai Pagoda

In the joy of celebrating the birth of Buddha Shakyamuni, the delegates and the venerable monks, nuns and Buddhists together paid tribute to Buddha Shakyamuni, paid tribute to the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation; listened to the 2025 Buddha's Birthday message from the United Nations Secretary General, the Buddha's Birthday message of Buddhist calendar 2569 - Gregorian calendar 2025 from the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and performed traditional Buddha's Birthday rituals to pray for national peace and prosperity, such as: inviting the venerable monks, making offerings, offering flowers, bathing the Buddha...

The Buddha's Birthday is an opportunity for monks, nuns and Buddhists to review the life and merits of Buddha Shakyamuni and express their gratitude and respect for the Buddha. From there, they will continue to live a good life, follow the Party and State's policies and laws, actively respond to emulation movements, and contribute to the development of the locality.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee also awarded certificates of merit and souvenirs to 4 pagodas and monasteries that have contributed funds to social security work in the city.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee presented gifts to households in difficult circumstances.

The ceremony also presented 100 gifts, each worth 600,000 VND, including necessities, to people in difficult circumstances. The total cost of this gift giving was 60,000,000 VND, which was contributed by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the City in coordination with Nhu Lai Pagoda, mobilizing Buddhists and benefactors.
