Thu Dau Mot City: Efforts to build a civilized, modern and humane city

Inheriting and promoting the achievements of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in the period of 2020-2024, the movement in Thu Dau Mot City continues to have many positive changes. Many practical models

In order for the movement to be implemented successfully, in recent times, sectors, organizations and localities in Thu Dau Mot City have actively created and implemented many good and effective models. Typically, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city has coordinated to implement the movement associated with the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in the area.

Leaders of Thu Dau Mot City awarded certificates of merit to outstanding collectives and families achieving cultural titles in the movement of physical training and sports to build a civilized and civilized society in the period 2020-2024.

Ms. Truong Thi Thu Hien, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thu Dau Mot City, said that in the period of 2020-2024, the City Fatherland Front Committee and wards have maintained 112 existing models and built 117 new models. Notable among them are 147 environmental protection and climate change response teams, with 10,620 members (including 29 teams of religious and ethnic minorities, with 950 members); 118 "Civilized - green, clean - beautiful" routes; the model of the "For a civilized urban area" motorbike taxi team; "Hands of love, supporting the poor and disadvantaged"; Dai Doan Ket park; knowledge connection park; online propaganda handbook; digital mailbox - listening to people's opinions; "Propaganda and guidance on solid waste classification at source" team, "Camera route for monitoring security - urban order - environmental sanitation"; cultural social housing area, saying good things, doing good deeds; the area of “Compassionate - affectionate boarding house of Thu land”; the model of Charity Fund to support patients from poor, near-poor households and households with especially difficult circumstances; the model of “Savings Day - for families with difficult policies”; launching the Full Moon Festival in January - a civilized - affectionate - environmentally friendly festival with many volunteer activities creating a unique feature for the “Free Festival” in Binh Duong ...

According to Mr. Tran Bao Lam, Vice Chairman of Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee, the results achieved by the movement to build a new countryside in the past 5 years are clear evidence of the strength of solidarity and unanimity of the entire political system and people of all walks of life in the area, together aiming at the goal of building a civilized, modern and humane Thu Dau Mot.

In order for the movement to continue to promote its role as a driving force for sustainable development, in addition to continuing to thoroughly grasp the resolutions, promoting propaganda, and synchronously investing in cultural and sports institutions, all levels, sectors, organizations, and localities in the city need to continue to promote and replicate effective models. Good models and outstanding individuals need to be commended and spread, becoming shining examples for the community to follow.

Through the models, the role of people in participating in environmental protection, supporting each other in life, ensuring security and order has been promoted, contributing to the successful implementation of the criteria for building cultural families, cultural boarding houses, cultural neighborhoods, typical wards, and wards meeting civilized urban standards throughout the city.

Continue to promote the effectiveness of the movement

Mr. Tran Bao Lam, Vice Chairman of Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee, said that currently in the city, there are many emulation movements of the political system being deployed, but it can be affirmed that the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life (TDĐKXDĐSVH) and family work is the center of all movements over the past 5 years (2020-2024), showing that the direction and operation of the movement belongs to the entire political system; the goal is to build a cultural life, taking care of the material life of the people.

Identifying the key goal of improving the quality of the movement as improving the quality of cultural titles, Thu Dau Mot City has focused on promoting propaganda to improve the quality of the movement. The city's steering committee assigned members in charge of each ward to inspect and urge the resolution of difficulties in the movement in the locality. The whole city deployed propaganda on cultural standards for implementation, contributing to raising awareness of all classes of people in "Living and working according to the Constitution and laws". In particular, implementing propaganda and mobilizing people to comply with the provisions of the law on noise (loudspeakers) in the community convention to implement in the evaluation of cultural titles: "Cultural family", "Cultural neighborhood"; "Typical ward"; "Ward meeting civilized urban standards". Many agencies, units and enterprises regularly do a good job of environmental sanitation, responding to climate change, launching the "Green Office" movement, food safety and hygiene, doing a good job of administrative reform...

With the participation of the entire political system and the consensus and joint efforts of all classes of people, in the period of 2020-2024, the movement to build a healthy cultural environment in Thu Dau Mot City has recorded many good results. Specifically, in this period, the whole city had 259,723/262,770 families achieving the title of "Cultural Family". According to the assessment of the city's leaders, the above number clearly reflects the consensus and sense of responsibility of each family in building a healthy cultural environment.

In addition, the entire city has 118/118 neighborhoods achieving the title of "Cultural Neighborhood". This 100% achievement rate has been maintained over the years, affirming the strong transformation in urban lifestyle; 99.1% of boarding houses meet cultural standards - an encouraging result, contributing to improving the quality of life for special groups of residents in the city. Currently, 13/14 wards have met civilized urban standards. This result has marked a big step forward in building and developing the urban area in a civilized and modern direction, while still preserving the unique identity of Thu Dau Mot.
