Binh Duong needs more than 2.2 million billion VND of social investment capital

(BDO) On the morning of June 5, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the 98th meeting of the Provincial People's Committee. Also attending were members of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches, and representatives of leaders of districts and cities.

The meeting approved 15 contents such as: report on the use of increased revenue and expenditure savings in 2024; draft decision approving the list of textbooks proposed by educational institutions for re-use from the 2025-2026 school year in the province; draft policy to adjust the level of electricity support for poor households, newly escaped poverty households and social policy households in the province from 61,333 VND/household/month to 64,281 VND/household/month according to the price regulated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade ; consider approving the policy to allow increasing the capacity of exploiting materials at a number of stone and sand mines to serve key national projects and works; draft Decision to reorganize the Binh Duong Provincial Land Fund Development Center.

The meeting approved the draft decision to issue the “Plan to implement the Binh Duong Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050”. Accordingly, to achieve the target of an average annual GRDP growth of 10% in the period 2021-2030, it is expected that Binh Duong will need to mobilize a total social investment capital of about VND 2,204,038 billion.

The meeting approved the policy of allowing some stone and sand mines to increase exploitation capacity.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh basically agreed with the contents presented at the meeting, and noted that in order to ensure the source of materials for key national traffic projects and works, it is necessary to organize a review of the source of stone and sand materials in the area, in which he agreed on the policy of increasing the exploitation capacity but must ensure the approved exploitation volume.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that recently, the progress of construction of key projects and works in the province and other localities has been affected partly due to the lack of some material sources such as topsoil for leveling, stone and sand. Therefore, it is necessary to allow an increase in mining capacity, ensuring 300,000m3 ^of construction stone to support material sources for key national traffic projects and works...
