On January 1, 2025, Hue officially became a centrally-governed city, a momentous event; a worthy recognition of the continuous efforts of all cadres and people of Thua Thien Hue over the past time.

Becoming a centrally-governed city also places the responsibility on each citizen of Hue city to do something to promote progress in all aspects to be worthy of this title.

Traditional art forms in Hue also develop in step with society on the basis of preservation and development.
