Mr. Tran Kiem Thuan, Secretary of Party Cell of Residential Group 8, Truong An Ward, Hue City:
Continue to preserve and promote Hue culture
Mr. Tran Kiem Thuan |
I myself and the people of Hue in general are excited about this historical milestone. In recent times, the Central Government has had special mechanisms and created favorable conditions for Thua Thien Hue to invest in infrastructure development. This not only helps people improve their quality of life, but also contributes to affirming the position of the ancient capital.
With a new name and new position, people hope that Hue city under the Central Government will continue to receive investment in urban infrastructure and economic development projects, thereby creating more job opportunities and contributing to improving people's lives. The preservation of Hue culture is also of special interest to many people; thereby continuing to build a cultural life with its own unique features and characteristics, so that every person can be proud to be a Hue citizen.
People's Artist Nguyen Ngoc Binh, former Director of Hue Opera and Drama Theater, former Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Stage Artists Association:
Traditional art goes hand in hand with homeland development
People's Artist Nguyen Ngoc Binh |
Hue was once the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty, which lasted for hundreds of years, and was the political, economic and cultural center of the country. This is the birthplace of many valuable cultural heritages recognized by the world. And today, Hue is still a cultural and tourist center along with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang and Can Tho..., gradually developing strongly in politics, economy and society.
On January 1, 2025, Hue officially became a centrally-governed city, a momentous event; a worthy recognition of the continuous efforts of all cadres and people of Thua Thien Hue over the past time.
Becoming a centrally-governed city also places the responsibility on each citizen of Hue city to do something to promote progress in all aspects to be worthy of this title.
Traditional art forms in Hue also develop in step with society on the basis of preservation and development. But preservation, not "conservation", development on the basis of origin, development but not altering tradition. Promoting traditional art in Hue as a unique cultural product of Hue will contribute to building Hue city into a cultural and tourist center, comprehensively developing, worthy of being a city directly under the Central Government.
Ms. Le Thi Le Thuy, Deputy Secretary of A Luoi District Youth Union:
Opportunity for highland youth to "transform"
Ms. Le Thi Le Thuy |
As a Youth Union officer, I personally feel very moved that our young generation has contributed to building Hue city into the 6th centrally-governed city of the country.
As a mountainous district in the west of Hue city, carrying many heritage and cultural values of ethnic minorities, A Luoi youth are striving to compete to create a "beautiful cultural puzzle" in the picture of Hue city - a centrally-governed cultural and heritage city.
Hopefully, there will be more specific investment policies for mountainous districts and ethnic minority youth to open up opportunities for young people to start businesses, establish careers, and get rich legitimately. In particular, it is expected that in the future, infrastructure and cultural institutions will be invested more so that A Luoi youth will have more opportunities to access and bring the traditional values of their homeland to friends from all over the world.
