For Vietnamese people, the Mid-Autumn Festival is an important occasion for families to gather and have fun after a hard working period. The custom of breaking cakes and watching the moon also shows the care andeducation of children both materially and spiritually in a specific, subtle, lively and unique way of Vietnamese people.
Our ancestors believed that games and toys are not only for entertainment but also as educational tools, nurturing children's souls. Traditional Vietnamese Mid-Autumn toys such as paper doctors, stick-playing men, papier-mâché masks; star lanterns, dough animals... are messages, conveying our ancestors' wishes to the young generation about the spirit of studiousness, encouraging learning and creativity.
With many diverse experiential activities, the organizers hope to contribute to promoting the heritage education activities of the capital, raising awareness of conservation, promoting traditional cultural values, developing a creative educational ecosystem in the community, aiming to form a generation of citizens who understand heritage culture and have creativity on that foundation. At the same time, introduce traditional culture, promote tourism development, promote the image of Hanoi's Old Quarter in particular and the capital in general.
