Fierce Battle of Marinka, Russia Gains Advantage Thanks to Powerful Firepower

On January 11, the AVP reported that the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic is deteriorating day by day. After the Marinka suburb of Donetsk was taken under the control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Russian troops intensified their offensive northwest of the central region in the direction of the village of Georgievka. Artillery and tank units actively supported the infantry in this sector of the front.

The Russians employed a variety of tactics, successfully using Vant, Svinets-2 and Invar-M guided anti-tank missiles. They effectively used closed firing positions and were trained against enemy tanks with ZOF26 fragmentation rounds.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its reports has emphasized the activities of the Russian military in the Donetsk People's Republic (self-proclaimed). Currently, a real threat is lurking in the Kurakhovo settlement. This is an important defense center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this region. The Russian military also continues to attack the fortified positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Avdeevka.

In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian paratroopers seized Ukrainian positions. Russian defense ministry reported that Russian airborne assault teams stormed and captured Ukrainian positions near Verbovoye as they improved their positions on the front line.

During aerial reconnaissance, Russian paratroopers discovered key enemy firepower and control outposts. Russian forces then launched air strikes and artillery shelling.
