Fierce Battle of Marinka, Russia Gains Advantage Thanks to Powerful Firepower

On January 11, AVP reported that the situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic is deteriorating day by day. After the Marinka suburb of Donetsk was taken under the control of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Russian troops intensified their offensive northwest of the central region in the direction of the village of Georgievka. In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian paratroopers seized Ukrainian positions. Russian air assault teams stormed and captured Ukrainian positions near Verbovoye as they improved their positions on the front line, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

During aerial reconnaissance, Russian paratroopers discovered key enemy firepower and control outposts. Russian forces then launched airstrikes and artillery shelling.
