The final stages of preparation at the high-altitude fireworks display site by Hoan Kiem Lake - the largest fireworks display in the capital - have been completed, ready to welcome the new year 2025.
On the morning of December 31, officers and soldiers of the Military Command of Hoan Kiem District (Hanoi) were present at the fireworks display site at Hoan Kiem Lake to urgently complete preparations for the fireworks display to serve the people on the occasion of New Year's Eve 2025.
According to the plan, for the 2025 New Year, Hanoi will have a total of 5 fireworks display locations with 6 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks display locations. Hoan Kiem District will have 2 fireworks display locations in front of the headquarters of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper and in front of the Hanoi Post Office.
The number of high-altitude fireworks includes a total of 3,600 fireworks (600 fireworks per site); low-altitude fireworks includes a total of 540 sets (90 sets per site).
Despite the large number of cannons and launchers, the installation still meets many strict procedures to ensure safety.

Inside the battlefield, the high-altitude fireworks were fixed, ready to be loaded into the launcher. At this point, the fireworks scenario was complete, each series of shots were accurate to the second.
The artillery will be activated from an electric ignition system.
To ensure safety, the authorities mobilized ambulances to be placed at the fireworks display site. In addition to Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays to welcome the New Year 2025 in Nam Tu Liem district, Ha Dong district, Son Tay town and Dong Anh district.
At the battlefield area, fire prevention and fighting work, setting up barriers to ensure security and order will be given special attention so that people can enjoy beautiful fireworks displays on New Year's Eve.
