Accordingly, the "Symphony of the Green Island" show was officially recognized by Guinness World Records for two records: "Largest Jetski Formation Launching Firework" and "Most Backflips on a Flyboard in One Minute" by athlete Tomasz Kubik.

The show officially set two world records.

This is the first time a show combining arts, extreme sports , and fireworks on the sea has simultaneously set two world records in Vietnam, marking a new milestone not only for Cat Ba but also for the country's entertainment and tourism industry.

A rigorous evaluation process - meticulous attention to detail.

A representative from Sun Group stated that the proposal to establish two Guinness World Records for the Symphony of the Green Island show originated at the beginning of this year, while the show was still in the conceptual stage. Since then, both parties have undergone numerous exchanges, agreeing on evaluation criteria, supporting documents, measuring equipment, images, operational diagrams, and a team of independent witnesses in accordance with international standards.

The verification process required complete documentation: technical specifications of the performance equipment (jetski, flyboard, fireworks), safe operating configuration, athlete training procedures, sea stage plan, team formation map, and prior test videos. Each document had to undergo independent review by GWR. Guinness representatives also requested that the Organizing Committee appoint a group of independent witnesses not affiliated with the organizing body, including fireworks experts, water sports technicians, and safety supervisors – to ensure absolute objectivity.

Ms. Sonia Ushirogochi, a senior referee of GWR, shared inspection information.

Under the direct supervision of Ms. Sonia Ushirogochi, a senior judge of Guinness World Records, the rigorous evaluation process took place throughout the afternoon and evening of May 21st, including several separate technical checks for each record category.

For the personal record of "Most backflips on a flyboard in one minute," the conditions tested included: flyboard equipment calibration, altitude and water current speed, propulsion system structure, safety standards, the athlete's body control in mid-air, and wave conditions at the time of the attempt.

Sonia is conducting the verification process for athlete Tomasz's personal best record.

Tomasz Kubik successfully performed 43 backflips in 60 seconds, surpassing the current world record of 41. The number of repetitions was monitored using multi-angle video recording equipment, an independent panel of witnesses, and a rotation counting system with angular velocity sensors.

"This world record attempt felt very special. Everything was harder with more pressure. But when I completed the final flip, I knew I had pushed myself beyond my limits – and that feeling was amazing," Tomasz excitedly shared.

According to his coaching team, during training for the show, Tomasz achieved 46 consecutive somersaults under ideal weather and technical conditions. This opens up the possibility that during the show season, which runs until early September in Cat Ba, audiences may witness him continue to conquer – perhaps even surpassing his own record.

"I train relentlessly to push my limits. If the weather is good, I'm in good spirits, and the audience is cheering enthusiastically…who knows what will happen on the waters of Cat Ba?", he added.

The jet ski team's performance set a world record.

With the collective record for "Largest Jetski Formation Launching Firework in the World," Guinness representatives conducted an inspection of the number of jetskis, the conditions for attaching fireworks (including the type of fireworks, detonation devices, and synchronization mechanisms with sound and light), the operational formation diagram, operational accuracy, and the coordination between the operators and the central technical system. During the assessment, 20 jetskis simultaneously performed complex maneuvers, maintaining speed and safety while ensuring the fireworks were precisely detonated in sync with the music, laser lights, and water effects.

Two world records have been confirmed as eligible.

Following official verification, the two record-breaking entries have been confirmed as valid and eligible for publication.

Speaking after the evaluation process, Ms. Sonia said: “We not only assessed the results visually but also through an independent monitoring system and specific technical standards for each record. What we observed today in Cat Ba is very convincing. The precision of the jetski formation, the technical difficulty of the flyboard, and the combination of sports, art, and fireworks – all meet international standards.”

She also expressed her feelings: "I not only saw the record being set, but I also felt the energy, passion, and creative spirit of the people who created this show."

Tomasz Kubik successfully executed 43 backflips in one minute.

According to the plan, the certificates for these two records will be personally presented to representatives of the organizing committee and to athlete Tomasz Kubik during the opening night of the Symphony of the Green Island show, scheduled to begin on the evening of May 30th and only last until the beginning of September.

Organized by H2O Events and LaserVision, the show combines three extreme sports – jetskiing, flyboarding, and jetsurfing – set against a backdrop of music, fireworks, water displays, and unprecedented stage lighting effects in Vietnam, all within a storyline based on the Cat Ba crane fairy and the Five Elements theory in Eastern culture. The show is the centerpiece of a new product line launched by Sun Group in the heart of the island, including the Vui-Fest night market, The Forest Beach Club and The Sea Beach Club restaurant complex, and a green transportation system.
