Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Tong Van Thanh , Director of the Press and Publishing Department, stated that the propaganda work regarding the Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Party Congress has been proactively, systematically, and widely implemented, with many innovative and creative contents, becoming a mainstream information flow and contributing to raising awareness among cadres, Party members, and the people.

In the past three months, the national press has published more than 37,600 news articles about the 14th National Congress of the Party; and more than 10,380 articles on comments regarding the draft documents of the Congress. Many major media outlets such as the Voice of Vietnam , Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Government Electronic Information Portal, Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper, etc., have opened special sections and pages to continuously disseminate information.

At the meeting, leaders of press agencies, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Journalists Association , and other relevant agencies exchanged views on information and propaganda work, and requested continued efforts to combat false and distorted information. Press agencies also expressed a desire for more resources to disseminate information about major political events and activities.

Concluding the meeting, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Trinh Van Quyet emphasized that the current period is a peak time for media coverage leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party. Each news article contributes to spreading the political atmosphere, strengthening the people's trust, and spreading the aspiration for national progress.

Mr. Trinh Van Quyet acknowledged the efforts and fighting spirit of the press in disseminating information about the Party Congress at all levels, making a significant contribution to shaping social awareness and increasing people's trust in the Party; and resolutely combating false and harmful information. In the context of a complex online environment, the press plays a "three-legged stool" role: verifying, clarifying, and guiding public opinion, thereby contributing to maintaining political and ideological stability.

The Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations of the press, especially the increasing competitive pressure from social media in meeting information needs, particularly for young people.

Based on this reality, the Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department suggested that in the coming period, the press should continue to focus on publicizing and highlighting the political, historical, and strategic significance of the 14th National Congress of the Party – a crucial milestone guiding the country towards the development goals of 2030 and 2045. Therefore, the press must clarify the Party's vision, the achievements after 40 years of reform, the nation's development aspirations, as well as the determination to reform and rectify the Party, thereby inspiring confidence and creating social consensus.

The Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department requested that the press clearly analyze the Party's strategic goals and decisions, especially the Politburo's resolution and the statements of General Secretary To Lam; the determination to achieve double-digit growth and develop the private economy to create new vitality for the people and businesses. The press should not only report the news but also ignite confidence, convey enthusiasm, and spread positive energy.

At the same time, the press needs to extensively publicize the personnel preparation process and documents in a transparent, rigorous, democratic, and scientific manner; helping people understand that the personnel work is prepared systematically and in accordance with regulations. The nominated individuals should truly be exemplary in terms of intellect, character, and prestige; and misinformation about personnel matters should be combated.

In addition, the Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department requested that the press effectively fulfill its role in guiding social information, delivering official information to the people as quickly as possible, and aiming to develop information applications (apps) so that people can access information anytime, anywhere. The press must proactively occupy the online space, provide accurate information, avoid gaps in the information landscape, and promptly refute erroneous viewpoints. Every news item, article, and video should demonstrate the integrity of a revolutionary journalist.

The Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department also suggested that the press should accelerate digital transformation, creating widely disseminated media products; each media agency should have a "digital content package" to serve the propaganda of the 14th National Congress, increasing short clips, documentaries, livestreams, and online forums; "speaking truthfully - speaking quickly - speaking well - using technology" to reach the younger generation.
