Awarding ceremony of the Contest "Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" for the 2024-2025 school year

NDO - On May 29, the Ministry of Education and Training held a closing ceremony, awarding 90 prizes to outstanding candidates participating in the contest "Youth studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" for the 2024-2025 school year. This is the 10th time the contest has been held with the hope that students will have a deeper understanding of Uncle Ho.

According to the Organizing Committee, the contest will take place from December 23, 2024 to March 9, 2025 online with 3 competition groups. Group A: For high school students (including students from middle schools, high schools and students from continuingeducation centers). Group B: For students studying at training institutions and Vietnamese students studying abroad. Group C: For education managers, lecturers, young teachers, union members, youth, under 35 years old.

This year's competition has new features with an increased number of contestants participating in the semi-finals. In previous years, each school only selected the 5 contestants with the highest scores, but this year, the number has increased, namely: Group A: Each high school and continuing education center selects a maximum of 10 contestants; Group B: Each training facility selects a maximum of 30 contestants; Group C: Each province and city selects a maximum of 20 contestants with the highest scores.

The contestants won first prize.

After more than 3 months of organization, the contest has spread strongly, not only attracting a large number of union members, youth, students to participate, but also receiving the attention of many classes of people, cadres, civil servants, and public employees of agencies, units, and schools nationwide and Vietnamese youth living, studying and working abroad.

The contest has 63 provinces, cities and 482 higher education and vocational training institutions participating. With more than 1.8 million candidates registered for the contest (1,431,621 students; 379,241 university students, nearly 500 international students; more than 36,000 young officials, teachers, and union members). This is an impressive number compared to any other online contest in the country today.

Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Student Affairs ( Ministry of Education and Training ) Hoang Duc Minh said that President Ho Chi Minh is a shining crystallization of morality, intelligence, spirit, and conscience of the nation and the era. His ideology, morality, and style are invaluable assets of our Party and nation.

Studying and following his ideology, morality and style is an important task for each of us in cultivating, training and strongly arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous country, a strong nation, and a prosperous and happy people as affirmed in the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.

Therefore, the contest organized annually by the Ministry of Education and Training has contributed to strengthening education on revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle and arousing the desire to contribute to the young generation...

On behalf of the winning contestants, Nguyen Minh Anh, a student of the High Quality English 2 class, Course 61, Faculty of Foreign Economics , Foreign Trade University, shared that he was very honored and proud to represent the contestants participating in the contest to speak.

Nguyen Minh Anh said that he is always proud to introduce himself as a son of Nghe An - the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh. Since childhood, he has heard his grandparents and parents tell stories about Uncle Ho's life and revolutionary career, about his journey to find a way to save the country, or about his tolerance and boundless love for the people.

Those stories soon sowed the first seeds of love and deep gratitude in my soul. We, the young generation, were fortunate to be born and raised in the peaceful spring of our country. But I know that it was the fruit of the revolution that Uncle Ho had painstakingly built, the blood and bones of countless outstanding children of the nation, who fell so that the flagpole could stand upright and the flag could fly.

Therefore, I always remind myself that as a young person today, I not only carry gratitude, but also the responsibility to preserve the good values ​​that our ancestors sacrificed to preserve and the responsibility to continue the noble ideals that Uncle Ho devoted his whole life to cultivating...
