Attending the program, Vietnam's representatives included Major General Vu Quoc An - Deputy Political Commissar of the Vietnam Border Guard; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh; leaders of provincial departments, agencies and Long Thuan commune. The Kingdom of Cambodia's representatives included Mr. Chea Horn - Chairman of Svay Teap district, Svay Rieng province and leaders of Monorom commune, Svay Teap district, Svay Rieng province.

At this program, the leaders of the Border Guard Command, Tay Ninh Province and Svay Rieng Province presented 20 breeding cows, each worth 20 million VND, to 20 households in difficult circumstances in the border areas of the two countries (10 households in Vietnam and 10 households in Cambodia). Thereby, contributing to helping households in the border areas develop the economy , stabilize their lives and strengthen solidarity and friendship.
In addition to the cow donation program, in this Exchange, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense will donate a boarding school worth 25 billion VND and a modern IT room to Ben Cau Primary School, Tay Ninh province; and 60 "Helping you go to school" scholarships worth 2 million VND each to 60 students (including 30 Vietnamese students and 30 Cambodian students). Previously, it organized medical examinations and provided free medicine to nearly 1,000 people on both sides of the border.

Speaking at the program, Major General Vu Quoc An - Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard said that in recent years, the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense has organized border defense friendship exchanges with the Defense Ministries of countries sharing borders with Vietnam; continuing to affirm the solidarity and friendship between the armies, local authorities and people on both sides of the border, contributing to building a peaceful, friendly, stable, cooperative and developing border.

Along with the above activities, over the years, the Vietnam Border Guard Command has regularly directed the implementation of many activities to support and help people on both sides of the border such as Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers, "Helping children go to school", "Adopted children of Border Guard Station"... In particular, the program "Helping children go to school" from 2016 to present, together with Vietnamese students, the program has received support for 872 students in the border area of Cambodia with difficult circumstances. These are activities of important significance in building, consolidating and strengthening the good relationship between the State, the Army and the authorities and people on both sides of the border of Cambodia and Vietnam./.
