Party Central Committee members: Nguyen Van Hung, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association attended the program. Also attending the program were leaders of central and local ministries, branches, and many generations of journalists.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung respectfully sent his best wishes to journalists of all generations. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirmed: Over the past 100 years since the first newspaper named “Thanh Nien” in 1925 founded and led by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has matured, always accompanying the nation and the country, becoming a core force, a pioneer on the ideological and cultural front, making outstanding contributions in every development journey of the country's revolution.
The press always plays a pioneering role: “Going first to pave the way - Going together to implement - Going after to summarize”. The milestone of 100 years of revolutionary press is a fulcrum to continue on a new journey that is deeper, more creative and more inspiring, in a more professional, more modern, more humane and more dedicated direction.


According to the Minister, literature, art and journalism have a close and lasting relationship, and all have the mission of cultivating viewpoints, perceptions, thoughts, emotions and aesthetics for the majority of people. Approaching in that direction, through language and images, combined with traditional and modern artistic techniques, the Art Program "Forever a pure heart, a sharp pen" aims to combine the past, present and future. This is a word of gratitude and a fragrant flower for journalists.
The art program “Forever a loyal heart, a sharp pen” is directed by the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with Vietnam Television, the Department of Performing Arts, the Department of Press and related units. The program is a meaningful activity, aiming to pay tribute to the revolutionary journalists of all periods and affirm the role of the press in the country's development journey.



The program consists of 4 chapters: Chapter I “The Beginning – The Foundation of Hundreds of Years of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism”; Chapter II: The Fierceness of the National Resistance War – Dedication and Devotion of the Revolutionary Journalism; Chapter III: Gratitude; Chapter IV: The Era of Rising – Prosperity, Strength, the Press Accompanying the Nation. With many outstanding performances, the program is like an artistic epic recreating the history of a century of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism; the journey of fighting and serving of generations of Vietnamese journalists.
At the program, the audience had the opportunity to enjoy many works praising the Party, Uncle Ho, and the birth of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press such as "The Torch Song", "Ho Chi Minh is the most beautiful name"... Many works about journalism and journalists were conveyed on stage through the performances of famous artists: Proud of my journalism profession; Our journalism profession; Like nameless flowers; On air; Let's be happy with Vietnamese press day; Programming... The program was directed by People's Artist Tran Binh. Meritorious Artist Quynh Trang, Director of the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater, directed the art. Participating in the program were many leading artists such as: People's Artist Quoc Hung, People's Artist Thanh Lam, Meritorious Artist Viet Hoan, Trong Tan, Dao To Loan, Khanh Ngoc, Phuc Dai, Thu Hang, Thu An... along with dance groups and choirs from the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater.
