On the afternoon of April 28, at the Conference Hall of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the 34th session (special session) of the 11th term Binh Thuan Provincial People's Council (PPC) took place. Comrades: Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tieu Hong Phuc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Thi Thuan Bich - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the session.

Attending the meeting were comrade Dang Hong Sy - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; relevant departments, branches, localities and 38/46 delegates of the Provincial People's Council.

Accordingly, based on the review of the submission and draft resolution of the Provincial People's Committee, the appraisal reports of the Provincial People's Council Committees, the Provincial People's Council unanimously approved 2 resolutions on the arrangement of administrative units at the commune and provincial levels and 3 resolutions on the socio-economic development fields of the province. Including: Allocating state budget capital in 2025 to implement the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction in the province; Adjusting central budget capital in 2025 to implement the national target program on new rural construction in the province; Adjusting the public investment plan in 2025 from the provincial budget; approving the policy on arranging commune-level administrative units of Binh Thuan province in 2025; approving the policy on arranging provincial-level administrative units.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh emphasized that the process of developing the Project on merging administrative units was strictly implemented, ensuring compliance with regulations from the stage of organizing the collection of voters' opinions, approving the policies of the People's Councils at the commune and district levels. After this meeting, the leaders of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct the implementation of the adopted resolutions to ensure compliance with the procedures and regulations of the law. Complete the dossier of the Project on rearranging provincial administrative units according to the prescribed plan and time; ensure the general progress to submit the dossier of the Project to the Ministry of Home Affairs before May 1, 2025. At the same time, fully prepare the basis and premise for ending the operation of the current district-level administrative units from July 1, 2025. Continue to do a good job of information, propaganda, ideological orientation and public opinion, create unity and high consensus on new policies, arrange and build the political system, arrange and reorganize provincial-level administrative units and commune-level administrative units. Direct the construction of the organizational structure of local governments at the commune level in accordance with prescribed standards and criteria. Focus on promptly resolving regimes and policies for subjects affected by the arrangement of administrative units at all levels in accordance with current legal regulations.
