Deploying natural disaster prevention and control work in 2025 - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- On the afternoon of May 14, the Provincial People's Committee held an online conference at two levels (province and district) to summarize the work of natural disaster prevention and control in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) attended and directed the conference.

In 2024, the work of PCTT&TKCN continues to be focused on and implemented by all levels and sectors in the province. Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee directly inspected and directed all levels, sectors, districts and cities to mobilize forces to support people to overcome damage, stabilize their lives and restore production.

According to the assessment of professional agencies, in 2025, natural disasters will continue to have unpredictable developments. Concluding the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of relevant levels and sectors in the work of disaster prevention and control and search and rescue in 2024. Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested: All levels and sectors focus on directing the effective implementation of PCTT & TKCN work in the area; proactively review plans and solutions for natural disaster response and TKCN; organize supervision, inspection and urging the work of preparing for natural disaster prevention, control, rescue before the rainy and flood season and before storms and floods occur; identify key areas, proactively prevent early, from afar and control natural disaster risks with the motto "prevention is the key".

At the same time, units improve their capacity to direct, command, and respond to natural disasters and incidents; direct the safe and effective operation of reservoirs; mobilize and effectively use investment resources for disaster prevention and control and search and rescue activities; thoroughly grasp and promptly and effectively implement the Central and provincial directives on disaster prevention and control and search and rescue; promote information and propaganda work; strictly implement the disaster prevention and control duty regime; agencies and units assigned to be investors urgently implement projects and works before the rainy and stormy season; coordinate promptly and closely between levels, sectors and units in disaster prevention and control and search and rescue work.
