Implementing the Plan to implement the National Action Program on Sustainable Production and Consumption by 2026

On November 10, 2025, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province issued a Plan to implement the National Action Program on Sustainable Production and Consumption in 2026 in the province, aiming to promote environmentally friendly production models, reduce waste and encourage sustainable lifestyles in the community.

Accordingly, by 2026, the province strives to have 70% of enterprises in industrial parks and clusters popularized and raised awareness about sustainable production and consumption; 85% of supermarkets and shopping centers will no longer use hard-to-decompose plastic bags, switching to environmentally friendly packaging.

The plan also focuses on supporting businesses in applying circular economic models and developing green supply chains; at the same time, strengthening propaganda, replicating sustainable consumption models and distributing eco-labeled products.

The Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to preside over the implementation and coordinate with departments, branches and localities to synchronously carry out the tasks; report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation results before December 1, 2026. The implementation will be mobilized from many sources, including the state budget and other legal capital sources to ensure the completion of the set goals.
