Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Mr. Do Quyet Tien, Director of Quang Ninh Museum affirmed: With the spirit of cooperation, sharing experiences and promoting the strengths of each museum unit in the country, Quang Ninh Provincial Museum and Hue City History Museum have coordinated to organize the exhibition to improve the quality and effectiveness of heritage conservation,education and communication.
This is not only an opportunity for the public to gain a deeper understanding of the history of Vietnamese ao dai, but also an opportunity for people and tourists to directly experience traditional cultural activities such as Thanh Tien paper flower making, Dia Linh village's Ong Tao making, or the stages of making ao dai.

The exhibition introduces to the public 30 traditional Ao Dai designs along with artifacts related to the design, manufacture of Ao Dai, and jewelry that goes with Ao Dai. Along with that is a performance introducing collections of 60 Ao Dai designs including Ao Dai for women, Ao Dai for men and Ao Dai for children.

The thematic exhibition "Vietnamese Ao Dai through historical periods" is organized in a modern way, applying digital technology in explanation, display and interaction.
The entire exhibition space is invested meticulously and scientifically , ensuring aesthetics, suitable for public groups to visit, research, study and experience.
This is a practical activity to improve the quality and effectiveness of heritage conservation, education and communication.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Loc, Director of Hue City Museum of History shared: Through this exhibition, the Organizing Committee wishes to honor and promote cultural values and traditional handicraft products of Hue and Quang Ninh to people and tourists.
At the same time, send a message about preserving and maintaining cultural values with characteristics of Hue and Quang Ninh.
The exhibition aims to further strengthen the connection between local museums across the country, first of all between Hue city and Quang Ninh province, which will continue to be strengthened and developed, contributing to building a sustainable, creative and widespread heritage community in the future.
The exhibition will be open until June 15.
