NDO - On the occasion of International Museum Day (May 18) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), on the morning of May 12, Binh Dinh Provincial Museum coordinated with Quang Trung Museum (Binh Dinh Province) to organize the Exhibition "National Intangible Cultural Heritage in Binh Dinh - Convergence of Colors".

The event not only aims to honor traditional cultural heritage values, but also promote tourism development, contributing to promoting the cultural image of Binh Dinh to the public and tourists.

Binh Dinh is a land with a rich history, where many unique cultural sediments are preserved. Not only famous for its heroic history, Binh Dinh is also the cradle of many intangible cultural heritages, contributing to enriching the treasure of Vietnamese cultural heritage.

Spread the beauty of Binh Dinh culture to the young generation.

As of 2025, Binh Dinh has 6 intangible cultural heritages recognized as national intangible cultural heritages, including: Binh Dinh traditional martial arts; Hat boi (Binh Dinh Tuong); Bai Choi art of Binh Dinh (recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2017); Ba Pagoda Festival - Nuoc Man Port; Phu Gia horse hat making craft; Van Dam Xuong Ly Fishing Festival. Each heritage has profound cultural, artistic and traditional values, reflecting the unique identity of Binh Dinh people.

When mentioning Binh Dinh, it is impossible not to mention Binh Dinh Traditional Martial Arts, a place known as the "land of martial arts". Recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage, Binh Dinh martial arts is not only a manifestation of strength and technique, but also a symbol of morality, loyalty and resilience, the precious qualities of the people here.

Therefore, learning martial arts is not only physical training, but also moral cultivation, enhancing loyalty and patriotism, associated with the heroic tradition of Tay Son.

Students enjoy exploring the Phu Gia horse hat making craft.

As one of the cradles of Tuong art, Binh Dinh owns many Tuong opera troupes, passed down through many generations. Tuong opera is not only a performing art, but also a symbol of chivalry, humanity and patriotism.

The art of Hat Boi (Binh Dinh Tuong) has long been deeply rooted in the spiritual life of the people, becoming a cultural feature of Binh Dinh. Each Tuong play is not only entertainment, but also a profound lesson in morality, humanity and history, reflecting the core values ​​of the Vietnamese people.

In 2017, the art of Bài Chòi in Central Vietnam was recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Bài Chòi in Binh Dinh has a unique style, combining music, folk performances and traditional games. Not only a form of entertainment, Bài Chòi also contains the unique cultural identity of the land of martial arts.

In addition, Binh Dinh also has many unique festivals, such as the Ba Pagoda - Nuoc Man Port Festival, the Van Dam Xuong Ly Fishing Festival, along with the Phu Gia horse hat weaving craft, all of which are recognized as national intangible cultural heritage.

Director of Binh Dinh Museum Do Tich said that the exhibition is designed in the cultural heritage space, displaying 135 images, along with many valuable artifacts of various types of intangible cultural heritage.

The special feature of this year's exhibition is the experiential space, where visitors have the opportunity to interact directly with the artists of hát bội and bài chòi, and listen to vivid stories about the culture and traditions of Binh Dinh.
