According to the Vietnam Film Institute, the displayed images are taken from films archived at the Vietnam Film Institute; documents and cinematographic works collected from the Department of Culture and Sports , Department of Tourism, Television Station, and Ho Chi Minh City Cinema Association. With the theme "Ho Chi Minh City grows with the country through a cinematic perspective", the exhibition includes 3 main contents.
The period of Liberation of the South and National Reunification (1945 - 1975) displays images taken from a number of feature films and documentaries reflecting the struggle for Liberation of the South and National Reunification such as: Moc Hoa Battle, Tra Vinh Campaign, Saigon Joyful Victory, May Faces, Independence Day September 2, 1975 in Ho Chi Minh City, Some Images of Saigon Liberation, Vietnam's Victory, First Love, Rising Wind, Monsoon Season, Deserted Field, Turned Card Game, Saigon Commandos, Saigon Liberation, Tunnels.

The period of national construction and development (1976 - 1985) displays images taken from a number of feature films and documentaries reflecting the construction process and changes of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City after the country's reunification in cinematographic works such as: National Festival, Saigon in the early days of liberation, Saigon Rain, Saigon through the eyes of foreigners, The Last Sin, Far and Near, The Bitter Taste of Love...
The period of innovation, integration and development (1986 - 2025) displays images from a number of films such as: Saigon I Love You, There is a house where you can listen to the sun and rain, Sunshine, You and Trinh, Hai Muoi, Mai, Saigon Missing Corner, Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City 50 years of implementing Uncle Ho's will...

Some images collected from the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cinema Association of Ho Chi Minh City and some related individuals and agencies with content about the process of innovation, development, integration, economic, political and social achievements that Ho Chi Minh City has achieved after 50 years of liberation.
Notably, in addition to the traditional exhibition, the Organizing Committee also built a virtual reality experience activity MR, a 3600 photobooth area, and recorded short videos from 20 to 30 seconds. At the exhibition area, there is also a booth distributing free movie tickets and a Catalogue of the screening schedule of the 24th Vietnam Film Festival.
The exhibition will take place from November 21 to 25 at Lam Son Park, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
