Previously, due to not having a stable job, and having children of school age, Ms. H'Ưng Êban's family's economy (born in 1993, residing in Yang Lãnh hamlet, Krông Na commune) was always in a state of "lack of money".
In 2018, understanding the difficult circumstances of its members, the Youth Union of Krong Na commune supported Ms. H'Ung to access preferential loans. With 30 million VND from the Loan Program for Near-Poor Households of the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Buon Don district, she used it to buy goods and open a small grocery store right at home.
Up to now, after two loans, her family's life has changed a lot, the family's economy is increasingly stable and they have the conditions to buy 2 more sao of land to continue developing the economy.
Ms. H'Ưng Êban (Yang Lãnh hamlet, Krông Ana commune, Buôn Đôn district) has more resources to develop her family's economy when she has access to preferential loans. |
As for Ms. H'Va Nie (born in 1995, residing in Tri village, Krong Na commune), it was the timely support of the youth union at all levels that gave her the strength to continue developing the food service business model. In 2016, realizing the need to enjoy traditional dishes of tourists and locals, she boldly opened a small restaurant right at the Buon Don Suspension Bridge Tourist Area. With a passion for cuisine , especially dishes of the M'nong people, she did not hesitate to seek out friends and relatives to learn how to prepare dishes with a strong Central Highlands flavor such as: stir-fried cassava leaves, eggplant and bep leaf soup, grilled meat in bamboo tubes... In 2021, Ms. H'Va's family decided to borrow an additional 80 million VND from the preferential loan source introduced by the Youth Union of Krong Na commune to renovate the restaurant space, welcoming more people who love Central Highlands cuisine to their restaurant. To improve the quality and meet the needs of customers to enjoy new dishes, in 2023, her family decided to pool all their savings and borrow an additional 20 million VND from the start-up capital of Buon Don District Youth Union to continue opening another restaurant in Ea Rong B village (Krong Na commune). Ms. H'Va confided: “Before, my family had a lot of difficulties. We wanted to develop the economy but lacked capital. Thanks to the entrusted loan capital of the Bank for Social Policies through the Youth Union, my family was able to borrow capital to develop the economy and have a stable life like today".
In addition to running a food service business, Ms. H'Va Nie (Tri village, Krong Na commune, Buon Don district) also regularly livestreams to sell local products. |
Ms. Trieu Thi Mong Huyen, Vice President of the Youth Union of Buon Don district, said that the capital sources for start-up loans have partly met the capital needs of union members and young people, helping many poor and near-poor households have more resources to realize many start-up ideas, develop family economy, and spread the start-up movement in the community.
By May 2025, the whole district had 49 savings and loan groups entrusted by the Social Policy Bank managed by the Youth Union in the communes, with 2,234 households borrowing with a total outstanding debt of over 117 billion VND. From this source of capital, in Buon Don district, there have been many start-up models in fields such as: cultivation, animal husbandry, services...
