From March 1 to April 15, 2025, the "90-day and night" campaign to build and repair houses for the poor and people with difficult housing circumstances in Tuong Duong district has started construction on 1,141 houses, reaching 68.6% of the total demand in the district (building 384 new houses, repairing 757 houses). There are 4 communes that have completed 100% of the target of starting construction of houses for the poor, including: Tam Quang 37/37 houses; Xa Luong 21/21 houses; Nhon Mai 78/78 houses; Mai Son commune 147/147 houses.

The number of completed houses put into use in the whole district is 485, of which 70 houses were newly built and 415 houses were repaired.

The district has mobilized 6,165 working days to help households dig foundations, level the ground, transport materials, build houses, roof... In which, units have done a good job of mobilizing forces and people to contribute working days such as: Luong Minh, Xa Luong, Yen Na, Yen Hoa communes...

The conference to review phase 1 recorded 17 discussion opinions from delegates. The opinions focused on clarifying the difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing support for building and repairing houses for poor households in the district. In particular, clarifying the difficulties in terrain, many villages living in remote areas, transportation is very difficult, affecting the transportation of construction materials, construction progress, high material costs, many families have difficulty mobilizing counterpart funds...

Entering phase 2 of the campaign, Tuong Duong district is determined to complete the construction and repair of the remaining 522 houses by April 30 (184 new houses, 338 houses repaired).

The total demand for new construction and repair of houses in Tuong Duong district in 2025 is 1,663 houses (568 new houses, 1,095 houses repaired). Specifically, the socialization program will implement 634 houses (239 new houses, 395 houses repaired); the national target program for poverty reduction will implement 979 houses (318 new houses, 661 houses repaired); the housing support program for people with revolutionary contributions will implement 50 houses (11 new houses, 39 houses repaired).

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Le Van Luong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the drastic participation of Party committees, authorities, mass fronts, and people of all walks of life in the implementation of phase 1 of the "90-day and night" campaign to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses for the poor. Comrade Le Van Luong also requested Party committees, authorities, and Fatherland Fronts of communes and towns to continue to consider this an important task that needs to be actively implemented.

Members of the Steering Committees at all levels continue to closely follow the grassroots, strengthen the direction and leadership of the implementation of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district to achieve progress and effectiveness; Strengthen coordination between the government, agencies, units, departments and the Fatherland Front in implementing the work of supporting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses; Strengthen propaganda work on the content of support policies, the meaning and role of the work of supporting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households; Timely support, remove and resolve difficulties and obstacles, create favorable conditions for supported households, and meet the requirements according to schedule.
