According to the plan, in the 2021-2025 period, Long An province must achieve 6,000 hectares of high-tech dragon fruit cultivation. By July 2024, the whole province will have achieved 5,700.67 hectares of high-tech dragon fruit.

By applying high-tech dragon fruit growing model, many farmers have made positive changes. The use of organic fertilizers has been increased; the use of fertilizers and pesticides has helped reduce the amount of chemical fertilizers by 10-15%.

Households participating in the model are regularly trained and transferred scientific and technical advances into production.

Farmers are equipped with technical measures in dragon fruit production according to the VietGAP process, which is environmentally friendly and protects the health of consumers. Thereby, reducing investment costs by 10-20% compared to outside the model, and increasing economic efficiency by 15-25% compared to outside the model.
