Vinh will also have to contend with formidable Chinese shooters such as Lang Xiaoya and Zhao Nan.

In athletics, athlete Tran Thi Nhi Yen will participate in the women's 100m qualifying round in the second group along with 8 other competitors. The 3 runners with the best times in each group will qualify for the first round. Nhi Yen will compete at 3:35 PM.

In swimming, Vo Thi My Tien will compete in the women's 200m individual medley qualifying round at 4:17 PM. My Tien is entering the Olympics with a wildcard and will compete against some of the world's top swimmers in this event.
