Speaking at a dialogue with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Wang Yi said the communication mechanisms have boosted mutual trust and sent a positive message to the world , proving that strengthening dialogue and cooperation between China and Britain is the right choice, according to Xinhua.
On the British side, Prime Minister Starmer emphasized the policy of building a consistent and respectful relationship between the two countries, including strengthening cooperation in trade, investment and other areas of mutual benefit. Mr. Starmer reiterated the stance that the UK will openly participate in areas where the two countries have different views, as part of the UK government's commitment to building a stable relationship with China. The UK and China need to increase strategic exchanges and jointly promote peace and stability. On February 13, the two sides also had in-depth discussions on the Ukraine conflict, the situation in the Middle East and global issues.
