(Dan Tri) - The Mid-Autumn Festival program helps Vietnamese children living in Germany understand more about national culture and love their homeland Vietnam more.
Children in Frankfurt, Germany had a bustling and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival.
Mid-Autumn Festival is not only a traditional holiday in Vietnam but also has a special meaning for the overseas Vietnamese community. In Frankfurt (Germany), the children of the Happy Kids Viet Duc group had a cozy full moon party with many meaningful activities.
During the program, children installed lanterns (monk lanterns) and painted wooden sculptures of carp, buffalo, and turtle, reminiscent of familiar images of Vietnam.
In addition, the children also prepared warm lanterns with the hope of spreading peace to children in Vietnam who are going through difficult times due to storms and floods. These are not only spiritual gifts but also wishes for peace and sharing from afar, sending feelings and hopes for brighter days.
Children also prepared fruit trays, showing their creativity by decorating them into unique shapes such as orange petals, worms, frogs, grapefruit dogs, and tangerine bears.
During recess, folk games such as stilt walking and ball throwing create a joyful atmosphere and help children understand more about the beauty of traditional culture.
In the evening, the Mid-Autumn atmosphere becomes more vibrant with colorful lion dances, following the rhythm of drums, bringing laughter to children. The singing echoes with Mid-Autumn songs such as "Mid-Autumn Night" and "Star Lantern" under the guidance of guitar, creating a musical space filled with joy.
This year's Mid-Autumn Festival not only left beautiful memories, filled with joy and community connection, but also brought the warm feeling of family reunion, helping families somewhat ease their homesickness.
