Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia offers incense at the Ba Mountain Victory Monument

On March 30, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia led a working delegation, along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Dinh province, to offer incense and flowers at the Ba Mountain Victory Monument (Phu Cat district), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Binh Dinh province (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025).

At the incense and flower offering ceremony in front of the Ba Mountain Victory Monument, delegates respectfully observed a moment of silence to commemorate the heroic souls of the Heroes - Martyrs and compatriots who heroically sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification; and at the same time recalled the heroic memories of the resistance wars.

Next, the delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers at the Martyrs' Temple at the historical site and scenic spot of Ba Mountain Base Area.

During the resistance war against the US, Ba Mountain held an important strategic position, especially for the Eastern region. This place used to be the base of the Provincial Party Committee, agencies, units of the provincial armed forces, Quy Nhon City Party Committee and the An Nhon, Tuy Phuoc, and Phu Cat District Party Committees. From this base, the Provincial Party Committee directed the resistance war, opened many training courses, and trained the armed forces and grassroots revolutionary cadres.

Nui Ba was also the springboard for launching many attacks and uprisings during the Dong Khoi campaign in the Eastern region in 1964, the Mau Than Spring campaign in 1968 and the general offensive and uprising in the spring of 1975 to liberate Quy Nhon town and Binh Dinh province. Nui Ba base area is a place that marks the arduous life, the resilient fighting spirit and the heroic feats of generations of cadres, soldiers and people of Binh Dinh in the struggle for independence and freedom for the country.

On this occasion, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia and the delegation offered incense and flowers at the mass grave of soldiers of Battalion 6, Regiment 12, Division 3 Sao Vang who sacrificed their lives in the General Offensive and Uprising in Spring 1968 (An Nhon town); offered incense and flowers at the Quang Trung Museum in Tay Son district; and visited a number of policy families and meritorious people in Binh Dinh province.
