According to the schedule, on the afternoon of December 18, there were classes for two classes, D16B (Nursing Faculty students) and X15 (15th course of Laboratory Science students), but the lecture hall was empty. There were a total of 32 students in these two classes, including 10 Lao students.

A representative of the Faculty of Basic Medicine - one of the two Faculties that wrote the minutes of temporary suspension of teaching and sent them to the school's Board of Directors - said that they had notified students to take a leave of absence beforehand.

"After receiving the minutes from the faculty, the principal talked over the phone, asking to notify the teachers to extend the teaching time until December 31, so that the school and the province could find a solution. After that, I talked with the teachers in the faculty, everyone agreed to continue working until December 31 with the condition that the school must have a written response. But currently there is still no document from the principal, so the teachers in the faculty have temporarily stopped teaching," said a representative of the Faculty of Basic Medicine.

On the afternoon of December 18, Mr. Huynh Tan Tuan - Principal of Quang Nam Medical College - said that he had not yet received information about the two lecturers suspending classes, so he would verify. Mr. Tuan commented that the lecturers' suspension of teaching affected the students.

Also on the afternoon of December 18, the school principal continued to hold a meeting with the faculties. It is known that the salary owed to lecturers is 4.9 billion VND, social insurance is 1.4 billion VND and allowances are 1.3 billion VND. The total debt is 7.6 billion VND.

As reported by Dan Tri , 17 staff and lecturers of Quang Nam Medical College sent a notice of collective resignation to the school's leadership. These staff members belong to the Nursing Department and the Basic Medicine Department.

The notice of suspension of work started on December 18. The reason given by these staff and lecturers is that the school owes them salaries and allowances for 6 months, from July until now.

During the time of unpaid wages, because they did not want to affect students' studies, staff and lecturers still went to school to work.

Up to now, the time of unpaid wages has been prolonged, the lives of many lecturers and staff have fallen into very difficult situations, unable to continue working.

The faculty met and unanimously decided to stop working from December 18 until the school resolves the salary and allowance regime.
