Can Tho University organizes entrance exam

Can Tho University has just announced its expected enrollment target for the 2024 school year and this year's enrollment method.

This year, Can Tho University has 7 admission methods, in which for the first time the school has a new method of considering V-SAT scores (university entrance exam).

Candidates can register for many admission methods. Method 1: direct admission, priority admission; method 2: admission based on 2024 high school graduation exam scores; method 3: admission based on high school transcript scores; method 4: admission to pedagogical majors based on high school transcript scores; method 5: admission based on V-SAT scores; method 6: admission to advanced and high-quality programs; and method 7: direct admission to knowledge training courses.

According to the announcement, the school's expected enrollment target for this new school year is 10,060, an increase compared to the enrollment target for 2023. Of which, there are 109 regular university training programs, including 89 mass programs, 2 advanced programs and 13 high-quality programs.

In particular, there will be 8 new majors: Information systems (high-quality program), preschool education , natural science pedagogy, automotive engineering, computer engineering (semiconductor circuit design), biomedical engineering, journalism and tourism.

According to the school's instructions, a candidate is entitled to apply for admission to the school in many different ways, each method requires a separate application according to regulations.

Specifically, each method has different regulations on conditions and subjects, so the school considers each method independently; the consideration of one method does not affect another method. The admission score of this method is not the admission score of another method.

Candidates must register their wishes to be eligible for admission on the admission portal according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , to filter out fake candidates along with other methods. For admission methods 3, 4 and 5, the school will announce the admission results early for candidates who are eligible for admission. If a method has many admission rounds, the admission score of the next round must not be lower than the admission score of the previous admission round.

This is the first year Can Tho University organizes the university entrance exam, there will be 7 subjects according to the admission groups: Math, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography. The subjects will be multiple choice tests for each subject independently on the computer. The admission majors are all majors (except teacher training, literature, journalism).
