Phan Thiet University welcomes nearly 900 new students for the new school year

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Dang Hong Sy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Minh, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors, together with cadres, lecturers and 894 new students of the 2025-2026 school year.

In the 2024-2025 school year, overcoming many difficulties, Phan Thiet University still maintained the emulation movement of good teaching and good learning, contributing to training high-quality human resources for the locality and the country. The school has enrolled nearly 800 new students and graduate students, increasing the training scale to nearly 3,000 people; there are 83 masters, 444 bachelors and 37 engineers graduating. More than 80 businesses signed cooperation agreements, bringing many internship and job opportunities, helping 88% of graduates have stable jobs. Notably, a manager was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Minister of Education and Training , and the UPT Robocon team won the national championship in 2025.

Associate Professor Dr. Vo Khac Thuong, President of Phan Thiet University, said that in the 2025-2026 school year, the school will focus on key tasks: innovating university governance towards standardization, modernization and international integration; improving training quality, developing programs linked to practice, meeting output standards according to Circular 01/2024/TT-BGDDT; promoting scientific research, innovation and comprehensive digital transformation in management, teaching and learning; at the same time, strengthening cooperation with businesses and domestic and foreign partners to improve training efficiency and expand job opportunities for students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Minh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee congratulated the outstanding results that Phan Thiet University achieved in the 2024-2025 school year. Entering the 2025-2026 school year, he hoped that the school would continue to promote its achievements and effectively implement Resolution No. 71 dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. The school needs to proactively research, concretize the goals, tasks and solutions of the Resolution into programs, plans and implement them synchronously with activities in the new school year and the following years.

The Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also requested Phan Thiet University to continue to build and develop a team of teachers and managers to ensure both quantity and quality, focusing on improving the capacity to apply digital technology. The school needs to strengthen life skills education, practical skills and social responsibility for students; at the same time, invest in developing infrastructure, modernizing equipment for teaching, learning, research and training. At the same time, it is necessary to expand cooperation with domestic and foreign enterprises in many fields, creating more opportunities for students to study, practice and work.

On this occasion, Phan Thiet University received scholarship support from businesses and organizations with a total value of 240 million VND. At the same time, certificates of merit were awarded to many groups and individuals who had excellently completed their tasks and many students with excellent academic achievements in the 2024-2025 school year were rewarded and awarded scholarships.
