Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung, Vice Principal of Hanoi Medical University, made the above statement at the Choice Day on the morning of July 19.

Many candidates and parents are worried about whether the admission score will decrease this year when the Math and Biology scores are lower than the average. In response to this concern, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung said that last year's majors at Hanoi Medical University with admission scores of 28 points or higher, such as Medicine, will not have many changes this year. The remaining majors in the lower group may see a slight decrease.

Last year, the benchmark score for Medicine at Hanoi Medical University was 28.27 points, and for Dentistry was 27.67 points.

Mr. Tung said that this year, Hanoi Medical University will enroll students based on 5 groups, including B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), B08 (Math, Biology, English), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), D01 (Math, Literature, English), A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry). This is also the first time the school enrolls students in group A00.

The Psychology major enrolls students in blocks B00, C00, and C01. However, there is currently no vertical connection from this major to the medical major. Therefore, if you want to become a doctor, you must register from the beginning. However, if you study Psychology at Hanoi Medical University, according to Mr. Tung, you will have the advantage of studying and practicing with doctors, so you will be closer to clinical psychology than at other schools.

In 2025, Hanoi Medical University will enroll 1,910 students through two methods: direct admission and high school graduation exam scores. Thus, compared to last year, the school has stopped considering the Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam scores and combined the exam scores with international language certificates.

With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, Hanoi Medical University adds points to candidates with international language certificates equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or higher with a score of 1 - 2 points.

This year, Hanoi Medical University enrolls 14 training majors with 16 programs, organized at 2 campuses, including the main campus in Hanoi and a branch in Thanh Hoa .

Mr. Tung also denied the rumor that "The branch of Hanoi Medical University in Thanh Hoa will split off and become a separate university in a few years."

Mr. Tung said that the name of the branch according to previous regulations, in the upcoming draft Law will be called Thanh Hoa Training Facility, and there may not be a branch name anymore. “This is according to general regulations. It is not to separate the branch into a separate university. Hanoi Medical University is striving to build more schools, so parents and candidates can be completely assured. In addition, the enrollment information also clearly states that the training program at the main campus and the branch is the same, the training lecturers are all lecturers of Hanoi Medical University, going back and forth to both places in a day,” Mr. Tung said.

According to the announcement, the school's tuition this year is about 16.9-62.2 million VND, an increase of 1.9-10 million VND compared to last year.

The benchmark score for the medical and pharmaceutical industry will drop sharply, down to 24-25 points . The number of candidates taking the B00 exam this year has decreased, the average score is lower than last year. It is expected that the benchmark score for the medical and pharmaceutical industries will drop sharply.
