Overview of key projects
The project of the connecting road to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, from National Highway 56 to the roundabout intersection of Roads 51B and 51C in Vung Tau City, is expected to officially start construction on April 26. The ceremony will be held at the Vung Van roundabout area, Long Dien District.
This project is invested by the Project Management Board of Transport and Civil Engineering of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. The road section under construction is 6.7 km long with a total investment of up to 6,700 billion VND. This is an important part of the entire 16.4 km long connecting route with a total investment of nearly 13,900 billion VND.

Diversify investment in the entire connecting route
The entire Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway connection route is divided into three component projects, implemented in specific phases to ensure investment efficiency and construction progress.
Component Project 1
This is the section that is about to start construction, with a length of 6.7 km, starting from National Highway 56 to Vung Van roundabout. With a total investment of 6,700 billion VND, the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Component Project 2
This section is 6.8 km long, connecting from Vung Van roundabout to coastal road DT 994 (in Ward 12, Vung Tau City). The total investment for this phase is about 5,100 billion VND and is expected to be completed in 2027.
Component Project 3
The final section of the route is 2.9 km long, from DT 994 road to roundabout 51B - 51C. This section is planned with a scale of 6 lanes for motor vehicles and two parallel lanes. The total estimated investment capital is nearly 2,000 billion VND, expected to be completed in 2028.
Major infrastructure projects
To ensure synchronous and safe connection, three large bridges will be built along the entire route, acting as important traffic intersections. These works include:
- Overpass at the intersection with coastal road DT 994.
- Starfruit Bridge 4.
- May Grass Bridge 3.
The investment in the construction of this route is expected to contribute to reducing the load on National Highway 51, enhancing the connection capacity between Vung Tau City and the national expressway system, thereby promoting socio -economic development and tourism for the entire Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
