Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Truong Thanh Hoai, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel Tran Quang Huy and a number of representatives from other Departments and Divisions. The event was also attended by Dr. Nguyen Thien Nam, Party Secretary, Principal of the School, along with lecturers, students, staff and workers at the Central School of Industry and Trade Cadre Training and Development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thien Nam, Principal of the School said: " On behalf of the Party Committee and the School's Board of Directors, I would like to respectfully welcome and thank you for the presence of distinguished guests, leaders, former leaders of the Central School for Training and Fostering of Industry and Trade Cadres through the periods; generations of teachers, civil servants, students - those who have made and are making extremely important contributions over the past 50 years.

From the bottom of my heart, on behalf of the School, I would like to sincerely thank and express my deep appreciation and gratitude to generations of teachers who have made important contributions to the development of the School .
On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day November 20 and the 50th anniversary of the School's founding, Principal Nguyen Thien Nam expressed his belief that the staff and workers will devote all their heart, mind and strength to contribute more to building the Central School of Training and Fostering of Industry and Trade Cadres to become stronger and develop in all aspects, contributing to the development of the Industry in particular and the socio -economic development of the country in general.
Also at the ceremony, Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel Tran Quang Huy said: " Over 50 years of construction and development, the collective of generations of leaders and officials of the School have always been united, unanimous, overcoming difficulties, proactive, creative, finding many solutions, diversifying training and fostering programs, expanding the scale and training subjects, mobilizing all resources to improve the quality of the staff, and the facilities have been invested in to gradually meet the common activities of the School.

Over the past half century, the School has trained and fostered tens of thousands of students, many of whom have become key leaders in agencies, units, enterprises, corporations, organizations, and famous teachers and managers. The Central School for Training and Fostering of Industry and Trade Cadres has become a prestigious training and fostering institution that has been awarded many noble prizes by the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. These achievements are the crystallization, efforts, and joint efforts of generations of leaders, officials, and students of the School over the past time .
Along with that, in the context of the world in a period of epochal change, the quality of human resources determines the development opportunities of each country and is identified as the core. Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel Tran Quang Huy sets out a number of tasks for the School.
Firstly, continue to implement the Prime Minister's approved Decisions such as: Project on training and fostering cadres, civil servants and public employees for the period 2016-2025; Project on National Program on foreign language learning for cadres, civil servants and public employees for the period 2019-2030; Project "Raising awareness, popularizing skills and developing human resources for national digital transformation by 2025, with a vision to 2030".
Second, organize and arrange the apparatus to ensure streamlining, efficiency, and avoid waste. Improve the quality of the teaching staff and management staff through building performance evaluation indexes; enhance cooperation, improve qualifications, skills, research ability, foreign languages, information technology, etc. for the teaching staff and management staff.
Third, promote scientific research in line with the overall strategy of the Industry and Trade sector for the 2021-2030 period, focusing on building mechanisms and ensuring resources commensurate with scientific research activities.
Fourth, promote international cooperation and integration through training and education for international cooperation staff; maintain and develop existing cooperative relationships, and expand cooperation with international organizations.
Fifth, continue to promote digital transformation in training and development through planning and allocating reasonable funding for the implementation, maintenance and development of digital transformation activities.
The Central School for Training and Fostering of Industry and Trade Officials was formerly the Garment Technical Training School under the Textile and Garment Corporation - Ministry of Internal Trade. On April 18, 1974, implementing the agreement between the two governments of Vietnam and Laos, the Ministry of Internal Trade assigned the Garment Technical Training School to train tailoring for Laotian students, course I.

In the early days of its establishment, the School's facilities were rudimentary, and the staff and lecturers were lacking. Implementing the Cooperation Agreement between the two governments of Vietnam and Laos, the School was assigned to train 74 technical garment workers, helping the young domestic trade sector of Laos; training technical garment workers to serve our domestic trade sector with two main occupations: cutting and sewing and repairing sewing machines. To carry out the assigned tasks, the School's staff and teachers had to design their own lesson plans, lectures, compile documents and textbooks, and take advantage of teaching and learning equipment to ensure training quality.
Up to now, the School has a 10-storey multi-purpose building with modern lecture halls, a 9-storey dormitory to meet the urgent need for accommodation and living for civil servants and public employees studying at the school. In addition, there are also the Headmaster's buildings, buildings A, B, C, D,... ensuring facilities for training and fostering in the new period. With the School's staff having very few postgraduate degrees, up to now, nearly 60% of the School's staff have doctoral, master's degrees,... meeting the requirements of training and fostering civil servants and public employees in the Industry and Trade sector.
