At the meeting with the Southern Power Corporation, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut emphasized that ensuring electricity supply plays a very important role in the local socio-economic development. The demand for electricity for the development of the province in the current and upcoming period is very large, it is necessary to speed up the progress and promptly put the power project into use.

The Provincial People's Committee directed relevant departments, branches and localities to focus on removing difficulties so that power projects can be completed as planned. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and the Southern Power Corporation to review, update and supplement the power supply demand at the 110kV Phuoc Dong Wharf Station and 110kV power grid projects into the Provincial Planning; preside over and coordinate with departments, branches, localities and investors to review and study route options, calculate to limit going through the central area and concentrated residential areas, facilitate site clearance and reduce arising costs. In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade also presides over and coordinates with relevant departments and branches to advise the Provincial People's Committee to establish a working group to promptly handle difficulties and problems in the implementation of power projects.

For the Department of Finance, promptly review and appraise submitted investment policy approval dossiers, promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval; study flexible and appropriate forms of collecting opinions from relevant agencies and units to shorten the time for appraising investment policy dossiers according to regulations.

In the compensation and site clearance work for power projects, for projects that have a compensation plan, the Land Fund Development Center coordinates with localities and project investors to focus on removing difficulties and speeding up the compensation and site clearance progress. For projects that do not have a compensation plan, the People's Committees of localities with projects take the lead and coordinate with the Land Fund Development Center, investors and relevant agencies to urgently carry out related procedures such as: establishing a compensation council, surveying prices, approving prices, approving compensation plans, site clearance, etc. to speed up the compensation and site clearance progress.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested the Southern Power Corporation to pay attention to orienting and supporting localities in their electricity supply needs to serve the province's socio-economic development, ensuring stable transmission and preventing power shortages./.
