As one of the most prestigious and anticipated academic activities of the year, this year's Science Summer School selected more than 150 students from many different fields, through hundreds of applications.
Embrace the unknown
With the theme "Embrace the Unknown", this year's Science Summer School opens a new journey of discovery with 13 in-depth lectures, 2 roundtable discussions and a Science-A-Thon competition.
The program content is divided into two groups: the traditional group includes essential topics such as research methods and scientific publications, scholarship hunting, plagiarism and academic integrity; the innovative group focuses on modern trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum computing, gene editing, high-tech agriculture, women in science, cosmology and robotics, etc.

The highlight of the Vietnam Science Summer School is the interdisciplinary nature of the lectures, which not only helps students access new knowledge but also broadens their thinking and trains their ability to adapt to the unpredictable changes of the digital age. Discussion sessions encourage students to ask questions, debate and together create an inspiring academic space.
Nurturing "seeds of intelligence"
After 11 seasons, the Vietnam Science Summer School has welcomed nearly 1,900 students. Of these, about 20% have completed their doctoral programs, 60% have graduated with master's degrees in countries with advanced science. Many of them are now researchers, university lecturers and experts at institutes and schools in and outside the country.
Since 2016, the program has been sponsored by the Rencontres du Vietnam and the ICISE Center, becoming a special "intellectual nursery" for young people who are passionate about discovery and dedication. The summer school not only imparts knowledge but also lays the foundation for a new generation of Vietnamese scientists: brave, integrated and responsible.

The sharing from scientists who have experienced the international academic environment has strongly inspired students, helping them shape a sustainable academic journey.
Open space, connecting knowledge
According to Dr. Nguyen Huu Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Gia Lai province, the Vietnam Science Summer School is a model of liberal education that modern science is aiming for.
"From fundamental lectures on research methods and academic ethics to cutting-edge topics such as AI, quantum, and gene editing, the summer school is helping the young generation develop interdisciplinary thinking and high adaptability to new challenges," Dr. Ha emphasized.

He also believes that the Science Summer School is not only a place to study, but also a special space to inspire a passion for discovery, nurture a sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute to society. "I believe that from this experience, young people will bring with them not only knowledge but also the flame of the scientific spirit: passion - creativity - openness - responsibility," Dr. Ha expressed.
