Which school has the highest floor score for the medical and pharmaceutical industry?

After the Ministry of Education and Training announced the decision on the minimum score for health majors (see here), up to now (July 24), all schools that train in health majors have announced the minimum score for receiving application files for admission.

Surprisingly, the place with the highest minimum score for the medical and pharmaceutical industry is not only Hanoi Medical University but also Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy (also known as Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy).

Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy also stipulates that the minimum score for medicine and dentistry is 22, 1.5 points higher than the regulation of the Ministry of Education and Training (see details here).

The University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, Hanoi sets the minimum score at 19 for bachelor's programs, 2 points higher than the minimum score of the Ministry of Education and Training. However, the minimum score for medical programs is equal to the minimum score of the Ministry of Education and Training (see details here).

The following are the floor scores of public medical universities in the North (most of them set the floor scores for each major at the same level as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training):

Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy

The announcement on the threshold for ensuring input quality for the health sector with university-level practice certificates in 2025 of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thai Nguyen University, said that the highest floor score of the school is 22.5, for 2 majors: medicine and dentistry. This level is 2 points higher than the floor of the Ministry of Education and Training and is the highest in the country.

The remaining majors of the school also have the same floor level as the Ministry of Education and Training: pharmacy 19; preventive medicine, medical testing techniques, medical imaging techniques, rehabilitation techniques, nursing, and midwifery are all 17.

Hanoi Medical University

Last year, Hanoi Medical University had the highest medical entrance score in the country (28.27). Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy's medical entrance score was only in the top 2 (26.75 points).
