Valedictorian with a series of international publications, wins PhD scholarship in Singapore

(NLDO)- The valedictorians are all the owners of prestigious international publications, some of them received full doctoral scholarships abroad right after graduating from university.

On November 9 in Hanoi , Phenikaa University held the 2025 Graduation Ceremony for 1,021 new PhDs, Masters, Bachelors, Engineers, and Pharmacists. Among them, 1 university valedictorian, 21 major valedictorians, 15 excellent graduates, and 169 excellent graduates.

Valedictorian Le Ba Luat completed the entire university program after more than 2 years

In the list of excellent graduates, Le Ba Luat, a student of the 15th course of Computer Science , Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, School of Information Technology, was honored as the school's valedictorian.

Having won second prize in the national excellent student math competition, Le Ba Luat chose the Computer Science major at Phenikaa University because he saw the difference compared to many other universities. Right from his first years at university, Luat was able to participate in scientific research, work with lecturers, and attend domestic and international conferences.

Le Ba Luat received a full PhD scholarship in Singapore.

After more than two years of studying at Phenikaa University, the male student completed the entire university program, he spent time interning and working as a research assistant at Singapore Management University.

Le Ba Luat is the main author of 6 scientific research works published in prestigious international conferences and journals. He won a full scholarship for his PhD in Singapore and is preparing for his study abroad journey.

Valedictorian Bui Hanh Nhung

Bui Hanh Nhung received an excellent engineering degree in Materials Technology, School of Engineering, Phenikaa University.

The female student is a former student of Dong Thanh High School, Quang Ninh . When choosing a university, Bui Hanh Nhung was impressed by the enthusiasm of the lecturers in the Materials Technology major, plus the great scholarship opportunity, so she decided to choose this major.

Graduating with a GPA of 3.66/4, Nhung is also the first student of the school to successfully defend her thesis with a score of 10, especially in the engineering field. Hanh Nhung's graduation thesis is about a new material - a nanocomposite used in the field of sensor manufacturing, to detect pesticide residues in food.

Bui Hanh Nhung also won a series of achievements in scientific research. Right from her first topic, the female student won first prize in the School-level Scientific Research Student and an encouragement prize at the Ministry of Education and Training. She is the winner of the 2024 Vietnam Female Science and Technology Student Award, third prize in the National Student Chemistry Olympiad, two Ministry-level Scientific Research Student Awards and many other awards.

Bui Hanh Nhung has 4 international publications in prestigious journals.

The female student also has 4 international publications, in which she is the co-author of 2 articles in group Q1 and 2 articles in Q2 - the most prestigious group in the ISI list. Hanh Nhung's research revolves around materials for sensor applications.

Bui Hanh Nhung shared that her major is quite difficult and somewhat dry, but it is also very interesting and attractive because it is closely linked to practical meaning in human life.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Dr. Le Trung Thanh, Director of Phenikaa University, expressed his deep thanks to the parents and shared his gratitude to all the teachers.

Professor Dr. Le Trung Thanh also expressed his hope that after this graduation ceremony, the graduates will enter life with knowledge that has been systematically equipped, courage that has been tempered over the years, and most importantly, the guidance of teachers and the love of family.
