The Math lesson on trigonometric ratios of the 10th grade Math 2 class at Ha Tinh Specialized High School took place entirely in English. From the teacher's introductory lecture, group discussion activities, to the process of doing exercises and presenting results, students used English naturally and flexibly.

The classroom atmosphere is lively and engaging. Students boldly ask questions, exchange opinions and solutions in English. The two-way interaction between teachers and students creates an energetic, exploratory and exciting class.
Nguyen Tran Bao Thi - a 10th grade Math 2 student, shared: "This lesson helps us to approach Math and English knowledge in parallel in the same lecture. The lesson is really attractive and engaging, creating excitement for us, while also helping to develop thinking and practice speaking and communication skills in English."
The genuine feelings from students are also what teachers directly teaching recorded during the process of implementing this learning model.

Mr. Phan Van Duc Nhat - Math teacher said: "The difficulty of teaching Math in English is that students have to approach many specialized academic terms. Therefore, to have a lesson like today, I have invested a lot of time in preparing learning materials, standardizing Math terminology and building a system of open-ended questions in English. The most enjoyable thing is that students learn very quickly, boldly communicate and demonstrate their ability to reason in English quite well. This teaching method helps students develop bilingual thinking, form quick reflexes, practice Math skills and improve foreign language ability at the same time."
In addition to Mathematics, during this time, Ha Tinh Specialized High School also implemented teaching specialized subjects such as: Information Technology, Chemistry in English for classes in grades 10 and 11. This is considered a pioneering step of the school in implementing the Project "Making English the second language in schools in the period 2025-2035, vision to 2045". In that spirit, with the school's proactive teaching plan, the teaching staff, especially young teachers, have promoted their pioneering role in implementation. In addition to a number of teachers who have been trained in bilingual teaching, many teachers have also made efforts to self-study, improve their knowledge, and improve their English skills to keep up with the trend of innovation.

Ms. Dang Thi Xuan - IT teacher shared: "Teaching IT in English is a new challenge, but it also opens up opportunities for us to innovate methods, improve teaching quality and help students access a modern and integrated academic environment. Because most of the terms and commands in IT are in English, bilingual teaching not only helps students grasp knowledge better but also helps them practice their ability to use specialized English.
Therefore, in recent times, I have always tried to self-study to improve my English knowledge, and at the same time, I have sought out creative teaching methods to make my classes lively and effective, to arouse interest and promote my students' ability to self-study specialized English.
Evaluating the first lessons, Mr. Hoang Ba Hung - Principal of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted said: "The English lessons initially went smoothly and received positive feedback from both teachers and students. Teachers were proactive and creative in teaching, students boldly exchanged and interacted actively. This is an important step in implementing Project 2371/QD-TTg, and at the same time is an inevitable development direction, helping students of specialized schools expand their opportunities for international integration."

Mr. Hung also said: “To be effective, teaching in English needs to be carried out according to a specific roadmap, with synchronization in facilities, teaching staff and students' abilities. Accordingly, in this school year, the school will implement teaching in English for specialized subjects of Mathematics, Information Technology and Chemistry in grades 10 and 11, and at the same time implement English - the second language for specialized classes of French and Chinese. In addition, we will also implement teaching in English in the subject of Local Education and experiential activities in topics introducing famous people, culture and people of Ha Tinh”.
Teaching in English is not only a change in the means of communication but also a shift in educational thinking, towards training a generation of global citizens. When English becomes the second language in schools, students not only learn grammar or communication but also use English as a means to explore science, technology and new knowledge.
With the determination of the Board of Directors, the initiative of teachers and the enthusiasm of students, Ha Tinh Specialized High School is pioneering the implementation of a model of teaching natural sciences in English, contributing to promoting innovation and integration.
