Teaching the use of drums and gongs to the people of Ka Dang commune

During 4 days (July 2-5), more than 50 students were taught basic knowledge about the cultural space of drums and gongs by Co Tu artisans including Mr. Bhling Bloo and Mr. Ta Cooi Phuc; characteristics, functions, and symbols of drums and gongs; technical processes, the art of making, the art of taking negatives of drums and gongs; especially performance skills, dances, and how to use drums and gongs combined with the traditional Tang Tung Da Da dance of the Co Tu people.

Through the training course, we contribute to restoring, preserving and promoting the art of using drums and gongs in the life of the Co Tu ethnic community in Dong Giang district.
