From June 1 to June 6, a team of Japanese doctors will examine and perform free surgery on children with cleft lip and palate in Quang Nam.

(QNO) - Quang Nam General Hospital has just announced that it will organize free examination and surgery for children with cleft lip and palate.

The program is within the framework of cooperation with the Japan Cleft Lip and Palate Organization, under the agreement of the Quang Nam Department of Health .

According to the plan, from June 1, 2025 to June 6, 2025, a group of professors and doctors from Japan will directly examine, consult and perform surgery at Quang Nam General Hospital (No. 01 Nguyen Du, Tam Ky City). Children in need need to undergo screening and pre-registration procedures at the Dental Clinic - Examination Department of the hospital.

The free surgery program signed by the Japan - Korea Cleft Lip and Palate Organization with Quang Nam General Hospital started in 2000, aiming to bring natural smiles and a bright future to those unfortunate enough to suffer from cleft lip and palate deformities, especially children.

Accordingly, the time to receive patients for examination and record making will take place from May 5, 2025 to May 30, 2025. This is a valuable opportunity for families with children with congenital defects of cleft lip and palate to access high-quality medical services at no cost.
