Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Le Quan, a former student of Dich Vong Secondary School, 1985-1988 school year, expressed his emotion when returning to his old school after many years. The Deputy Minister sent his congratulations and gratitude to generations of teachers who have contributed to the tradition of studiousness and discipline and responsibility of the school.
Deputy Minister Le Quan shared: “During the years studying at Dich Vong School, we received the love and dedication of the teachers, were educated about personality, ethics and nurtured our dreams. Today, being back here is a great joy.” On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Deputy Minister acknowledged and congratulated the outstanding achievements that Dich Vong Secondary School has achieved during 70 years of construction and development.
Dich Vong Secondary School was established in 1955, one of the first socialist schools in the North after the Liberation of the Capital. The school's development history is closely linked to the country's steps: From the early days of construction with countless difficulties; the period of studying while digging trenches, wearing straw hats to avoid bombs during the resistance war against the US, to the years of innovation, integration, and expansion of international cooperation and exchange.
Speaking at the ceremony, Teacher Pham Thi Nhu Hoa, Principal of Dich Vong Secondary School, said that throughout the 70-year journey, teachers and students of Dich Vong have constantly strived and steadfastly pursued the goal of good teaching and good learning... During the resistance war against the US, hundreds of students joined the army, of which 48 former students heroically sacrificed their lives, leaving their youth on the battlefield. In the early years of national reunification, the school was honored to be chosen as a point of international educational cooperation, signing agreements with Sweden and Germany. The school was also affectionately called "Bac Ly of Hanoi" by the people of the capital, symbolizing the tradition of studiousness. From this school, tens of thousands of students have grown up, many of whom have become leaders, scientists , doctors, engineers, artists, businessmen... contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
70 years of formation and development, from Hau village communal house to the bright spot of the capital's education today is the journey of the flame of intelligence, enthusiasm and love for the profession preserved through many generations. The school's traditional golden board is not only measured by the number of medals, awards or achievements. It is the flame of intelligence spread from generation to generation of teachers and students, bringing the quintessence from here to spread to everywhere...
Appreciating the tradition of "happy school" of Dich Vong Secondary School, which not only focuses on knowledge, but also nurtures the creative and humanistic spirit of students, Deputy Minister Le Quan believes that with the long history of achievements and dedication of the teaching staff, Dich Vong Secondary School will continue to maintain its pioneering role in teaching innovation, building a creative educational environment, helping each student develop their abilities, nurturing their dreams and aspirations to contribute.
On this occasion, Dich Vong Secondary School received the Third Class Labor Medal, a noble award recognizing the great contributions of the school to the education and training cause of the Capital.
