According to information from the Hydrometeorological Station, from this evening (September 19) to the evening of September 21, Ninh Binh province will have moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.
Rainfall from 1pm on September 18 to 1pm on September 19 was generally from 20 - 50mm, with some places being larger such as: Yen Dong (Yen Mo) 108.8mm, Yen Khanh 86.0mm.
In the coming days, rainfall in districts and cities will range from 70-150mm, with some places exceeding 150mm.
Warning, prolonged heavy rain can cause landslides, especially in areas with steep terrain such as Nho Quan, Tam Diep...; in urban areas, it can overload the urban drainage system, causing flooding in residential areas, traffic jams due to flooded roads.
At the same time, localities need to pay attention to prevent heavy rain from flooding crops, making the soil saturated with water or causing trees to fall and damage crops.
