The 2024 Vietnamese Goods Week at Aeon Japan is a large-scale activity to implement the Project "Promoting Vietnamese enterprises to directly participate in foreign distribution systems by 2030" of the Ministry of Industry and Trade , as well as aiming to promote the export turnover of Vietnamese goods to the Aeon system. Through the Project, many types of Vietnamese products that meet high Japanese standards have been imported by Aeon and put into consumption at hundreds of supermarkets in the Aeon system in Japan and in other countries.
Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Center - Mr. Tran Phu Lu, Leaders of AEON Group and especially the participation of more than 30 prestigious Vietnamese export enterprises in displaying products. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Goods Week, Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang emphasized that the model of Vietnamese Goods Week at Aeon has been organized and maintained by the Parties for many years with high efficiency. Vietnamese Goods Week is a bridge to help bring Aeon customers and more broadly, Japanese consumers closer to Vietnam, understand the country and people of Vietnam better through enjoying Vietnamese specialties.
In 2024, in addition to the Vietnamese Goods Week at the Aeon Japan system, Aeon Group will also organize the Vietnamese Goods Week for the first time at the Aeon Hong Kong system to boost the export turnover of Vietnamese goods to the global Aeon system. In Hong Kong, the Vietnamese Goods Week will be deployed simultaneously at Aeon stores with a variety of products from agricultural products, food to household goods. In Japan, the Vietnamese Goods Week will be held at more than 300 stores with 100 product codes spanning across industries such as agricultural products, food, textiles, wooden products, household goods, and health care products. The focus of the Goods Week will be on items such as: bananas, lychees, longans, shrimp, octopus, catfish, rice paper, chili sauce, wood products, and health care products from Vietnam displayed and introduced to Japanese customers. To add to the appeal, Aeon has introduced typical Vietnamese dishes and culinary ingredients along with menus that are more suitable for Japanese dining tables, helping consumers enjoy "Vietnamese delicacies" right at home.
The highlight of this year's Vietnamese Goods Week is the appearance of food stalls with Vietnamese characteristics such as: Hello Bread; Delicious Pho; Vietnamese Coffee; Vietnamese Mixed Fruit, Vietnamese Dessert/Pudding.
Following the success of the Goods Week in previous years, AEON Group continues to combine the display and introduction of goods with the promotion of the image, cultural identity and tourism of Vietnam through a series of exchange activities and experiences of Vietnamese culture such as: traditional Vietnamese dance, Vietnamese national musical instruments, culinary performances, Vovinam performances... to attract the attention of Japanese people as well as bring customers new and interesting discoveries and experiences.
To continue promoting the increase of Vietnam's export turnover through Aeon's distribution channel, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, localities and Aeon Group will continue to introduce more and more high-quality products, attractive Vietnamese culinary culture as well as ways to prepare Japanese dishes from fresh Vietnamese ingredients to Japanese consumers in the coming time.
