
Immediately after the storm passed, the green volunteer shirts were present on all roads, schools, and residential areas. Youth shock teams quickly cleared fallen trees, dredged sewers, collected garbage, helped people brace and temporarily cover damaged roofs, cleaned schools, offices, residential areas, etc. Many teams worked through noon and even through the night to speed up progress, soon returning a green - clean - beautiful, safe environment to the people.
With more than 4,800 youth union members mobilized to participate in overcoming the consequences. The forces were reasonably distributed in the areas, avoiding local concentration, focusing on supporting cleaning the campus, re-roofing schools, medical centers, repairing damaged houses and environmental sanitation.
According to Mr. Pham Hong Hiep - Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union, before the storm made landfall, the Provincial Youth Union had established 142 commune-level storm and flood youth shock teams and 1 provincial campaign command committee with 1,510 members. These forces were responsible for propaganda, guiding people to respond to the storm, coordinating with the government to evacuate people and ensuring logistics in the gathering area.
During the storm, the Provincial Youth Union hotline received hundreds of calls from the grassroots level, which were promptly transferred to localities to support people. Many communes and wards also publicized the phone number of the Youth Union Secretary for people to easily contact, helping to reduce the workload for the on-duty department.
At the same time, the Provincial Youth Union also coordinated with the Provincial Military Command, the South Central Mobile Police Regiment E23, the Provincial Police and environmental sanitation companies to launch a total campaign on many main streets such as Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and the old inner city of Quy Nhon, creating a bustling atmosphere, contributing to quickly restoring the urban appearance after the storm.
In addition, local authorities and organizations are focusing on supporting people in Quy Hoa leprosy village (Quy Nhon Nam ward, Gia Lai province) to overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives.
According to Quy Hoa Central Leprosy and Dermatology Hospital, the entire village has more than 300 houses affected; of which 2 houses were completely damaged and 15 houses had their roofs blown off. Many households are elderly leprosy patients, in especially difficult circumstances, unable to repair them themselves.
Doctor Vu Tuan Anh, Director of Quy Hoa Central Dermatology and Leprosy Hospital, said that after the storm, the hospital is arranging safe accommodation for homeless patients and coordinating with local authorities to make a plan to completely overcome the damage before the new rainy season.

Immediately after the storm, police, border guards, and youth union members of Quy Nhon Nam ward were present to clear fallen trees, remove obstacles, and help households move their belongings and take temporary shelter in the hospital's safe house. Unions, social organizations, and philanthropists inside and outside the province are mobilizing materials and funds to repair and re-roof damaged houses.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hoa - Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Quy Nhon Nam Ward said that the locality has mobilized all resources to support people in Quy Hoa leprosy village to overcome the consequences of the storm. In the immediate future, the ward will coordinate with hospitals and volunteer organizations to ensure temporary accommodation, food, clean water and medical care for people.
