This is a meaningful activity in response to the Campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” and the movement “Joining hands to build new rural areas”. Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Dang Khoa - Deputy Secretary, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union; Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Le Quan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the University of Natural Sciences , VNU-HCM; Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union.

At the program, the delegation presented 10 sets of computers to support the local government after the merger, contributing to improving the efficiency of public administration work and serving the people. In addition, the delegation built a national flag street in Phuoc Long commune; awarded 20 scholarships to students with difficult circumstances but always striving to excel in their studies; presented 40 social security gifts to disadvantaged households; installed 45 solar lights to light up rural roads; and planted 150 new trees.

In addition, young people organized a training session on “No cash - Easy or difficult”, a booth “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products”, a game booth and a food booth for local children. The total cost of the program was 180 million VND.

Speaking at the program, comrade Ho Tran Son - Member of the Executive Committee of the City Youth Union, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trade Cooperatives, shared: “In the program, the youth union members and volunteers of Pink Vacation and Green Summer brought many meaningful youth projects and gifts. In particular, the project of about 2km of street lights, flag streets, and new tree planting is very practical in the period of merging provinces. We hope that in the next phase, we can bring more meaningful youth projects to the people, sharing a lot with families with preferential policies and disadvantaged students”.

Mr. Vo Nguyen Duc Huy, Secretary of the Youth Union of Phuoc Long commune, said that after the road was concreted, people in My Que hamlet were very excited and traffic was convenient.
Delighted to receive gifts from the program, Mr. Do Ngoc Tri, a resident of My Hoa hamlet, said: “I would like to thank the young people from Ho Chi Minh City and the sponsors for wholeheartedly supporting the disadvantaged people in the locality. We clearly feel the affection and heart of the young people of Uncle Ho's city.”
Within the framework of the "Volunteer to join hands to build new rural areas" peak festival, there is a special program to bring Vietnamese goods to the countryside. The group provides essential products at a discount of 10-15% and gives away some other practical and useful products to introduce to the people. Ms. Nguyen Thuy Phuong Lan - Director of Co.opmart Ben Tre , said: "This is a regular program at the time of organizing the summer volunteer campaign. Young people do not hesitate to go to remote areas, where people have little opportunity to travel, to bring quality Vietnamese products at affordable prices, along with many promotional programs".
