During the period 2022-2025, the youth union work and youth movement of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command were comprehensively and steadily implemented, successfully achieving the goals, targets, and action programs.
Youth union branches at all levels have done a good job in educating members and young people on political ideology; mobilizing units and benefactors to donate 550 scholarships, 250 bicycles, nearly 3,000 gifts, books, notebooks, and school supplies for students; coordinating with youth union organizations in their驻地 to organize 32 "Clean the Sea" campaigns with the participation of more than 5,800 union members from units and localities, collecting a total of over 37 tons of waste.
During the period 2022-2025, the Border Guard Force of Ho Chi Minh City had 4 members recognized as "Outstanding Young Faces" and "Promising Young Faces" of the Border Guard Force; 54 people recognized as Outstanding and Promising Young Faces at the provincial and city levels; 3 people recognized as "Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" of Ho Chi Minh City; and 1 person recognized as "Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings in the Southeast Region".
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command, commended the achievements of the youth of the city's Border Guard Command in the past period.
Colonel Nguyen Van Tien suggested that the youth union work and youth movement of the Border Guard Command of the city should focus on several areas such as: strengthening the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for union members and young people; building and organizing youth union movements and models aimed at fulfilling political tasks, border guard work tasks, and linking them with the unit's emulation movement for decisive victory.
In particular, regularly organizing training courses to improve foreign language and computer skills for youth union members is crucial, ensuring they are a pioneering force leading the way in digital transformation; this serves as a leverage to enhance the quality of training, combat readiness, learning, daily life, and propaganda for young people in the unit's area of responsibility.
