Consider digital transformation as a lever to improve the quality of union work

On October 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command held a conference to review the work of the Youth Union and youth movement for the 2022-2025 period and directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 period.

In the 2022-2025 period, the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard will be comprehensively and firmly deployed, successfully completing the goals, targets and action programs.

The Youth Union at all levels has done a good job of political and ideological education for union members and youth; mobilized units and benefactors to donate 550 scholarships, 250 bicycles, nearly 3,000 gifts, books, notebooks, and school supplies to students; coordinated with union organizations at military bases to organize 32 "Let's clean the sea" campaigns with the participation of more than 5,800 union members from units and localities, collecting a total of over 37 tons of waste.

In the period of 2022-2025, the city's Border Guard has 4 members and youths being honored as "Outstanding Young Faces" and "Promising Young Faces" of the Border Guard; 54 people being honored as Outstanding and Promising Young Faces at the provincial and city Border Guard levels; 3 people being honored as "Progressive Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings" of Ho Chi Minh City; 1 person being honored as "Progressive Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings of the Southeast region".

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command, praised the achievements that the youth of the city Border Guard Command have achieved in recent times.

Colonel Nguyen Van Tien suggested that the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement of the city's Border Guard should focus on a number of contents such as: strengthening education on ideals, revolutionary ethics, and cultural lifestyle for union members and youth; building and organizing movements and models of the Union towards carrying out political tasks, Border Guard tasks and associated with the unit's emulation movement to win.

In particular, regularly organize training courses to improve foreign language and IT skills for youth union members, worthy of being the pioneering force, leading in digital transformation; consider it a lever to improve the quality of training, combat readiness, study, activities and propaganda for youth in the area of ​​the unit in charge.
