The memorial to the heroic martyrs of the 34th Army Corps was built in 2012. Over time, the structure has shown signs of damage and many elements are no longer suitable for the unit's current situation.

Over more than two months of construction, the Corps Command mobilized over 1,000 man-days of soldiers to coordinate with the contractor in implementing items such as: repainting the 13.47-meter-high tower; repairing the 30.27-meter-long, 3.5-meter-high arc-shaped relief cluster; completing the altar and incense burner; tiling the entire courtyard; renovating the green spaces and flower gardens… ensuring quality, aesthetics, and timely completion. The total cost of the project was over 3 billion VND.
Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Dao Tuan Anh emphasized: The completion of the project is not only a significant event on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Corps' establishment, but also a reminder to every officer and soldier of their responsibility to preserve and promote the traditions of the Vietnam People's Army and the predecessor units of the 3rd Corps and the 4th Corps.

Immediately after the inauguration ceremony, delegates and officers and soldiers laid flowers and incense, observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs; toured the monument and listened to a presentation about the symbolic significance of the memorial. The monument is expected to become a "red address" for educating future generations of officers and soldiers of the 34th Army Corps about their traditions.
