Tuy An: Ocean tuna exploitation output increases

Up to this point, Tuy An district fishermen have completed the third tuna fishing trip of 2024.

 

According to reports from coastal commune authorities and Tien Chau Fisheries Union (An Ninh Tay commune, Tuy An district), thanks to good weather conditions at sea and encountering many large fish, the tuna catch on the third fishing trip was quite high.

 

Of the more than 65 vessels participating in this tuna fishing campaign, more than 75% of the vessels caught 60-70 tuna, 3 vessels caught 105 tuna, and 1 vessel caught 120 tuna.

 

This is the trip with the highest tuna catch ever in Tuy An district and most of the fish caught weigh 35kg or more, ensuring quality to meet market consumption requirements.

 

With the above output, 80% of the vehicles participating in tuna fishing in this trip earned a profit of 180-220 million VND, 15% of the vehicles earned a profit of 130-160 million VND, and the rest earned a profit of 60-80 million VND.

 

It is known that this is the first year in Tuy An district that tuna fishermen have had consecutive catches on all three trips at sea at the beginning of the year.
