Center back Tran Thi Thuy Nga was injured in the final match, she had to use a wheelchair when returning home and was warmly welcomed by fans.

At Noi Bai airport, Mr. Tran Duc Phan congratulated the Vietnamese women's team on winning the SEA Games Gold Medal for the fourth consecutive time and expressed his hope that coach Mai Duc Chung and the players would continue to aim for the upcoming Women's World Cup.
The women's football team returned home in the arms of fans.
Coach Mai Duc Chung shared: "The Vietnamese women's football team and I are very happy and touched by the warm welcome of our home fans. We feel happy and relieved to be home after a hard fight at the 32nd SEA Games."
The players will have a few days to visit their families before joining the team and then going to Europe for training in early June, preparing for the World Cup.
After 20 minutes of interacting with the media and fans, the female players got on the bus and left the airport.
After winning the Gold Medal of the Games, the Vietnamese Women's Team divided into 2 groups to move back to their hometowns. The group of members returning to Ho Chi Minh City departed at 14:19 at Phnom Penh International Airport and landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport at 15:20.
