Prepare well for the organization of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam

Comrade Hoang Viet Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and units; leaders of People's Committees of districts, cities, and high schools in the province.

The meeting deployed the regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training on organizing the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, and the plan to organize the exam in the province. According to the report of the Department of Education and Training, the whole province has 10,142 candidates registered for the exam, of which 415 are independent candidates, 9,727 candidates are in grade 12. There are a total of 30 exam sites in the province, of which 11 are inter-school exam sites, 2 exam sites have independent candidates.

Up to now, the province has completed the provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, implemented propaganda work before the exam, new points of this year's exam, trained on regulations, instructions for the graduation exam and university and college admissions in 2025.

Schools that have set up exam sites have plans to arrange enough exam rooms, exam site offices and other conditions to ensure compliance with instructions and regulations. The Departmentof Education and Training has directed high schools to organize review work, evaluate the quality of 12th grade students, prepare conditions in terms of facilities, equipment, human resources for the exam, etc.

Delegates attending the meeting focused on discussing solutions to organize the 2025 High School Graduation Exam well, such as: Improving the quality of review for 12th grade students, supporting exam sites and candidates in difficult circumstances, ensuring facilities, implementing plans to ensure exam safety in complex weather conditions, storms, disease prevention, ensuring food safety and hygiene, ensuring the health of officials on duty and candidates taking the exam, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Phuong requested the members of the Provincial Steering Committee to promote the highest sense of responsibility to direct the organization of the exam to ensure safety, seriousness, compliance with regulations and high efficiency. Relevant departments, branches and units need to coordinate closely to carefully prepare the conditions of facilities and equipment for the exam; coordinate with functional branches and units to deploy plans to ensure security and order, and reasonable traffic flow.

At the same time, organize activities to support candidates and their families, especially candidates with difficult circumstances; create a comfortable and secure mindset for candidates to participate in this year's exam to achieve the best exam results. During the organization and implementation process, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee any difficulties and problems for timely resolution in accordance with regulations...

According to the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam will be held on June 26 and 27, 2025. On June 25, candidates will go to the exam room to complete procedures and listen to the exam regulations and schedule. On June 28, the backup exam will be held. The registration period is from May 21 to 5:00 p.m. on May 28. The exam results will be announced on July 16, 2025.

Candidates taking the graduation exam for the first time must take four exams, including Math and Literature. In addition, they choose two subjects they have studied at school (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Language). Candidates taking the exam according to the old program (2006 program) will take the Literature, Math, Foreign Language exams, and one of two Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).

The 2025 high school graduation exam has many new points compared to the previous exam such as: Changing the format and structure of the exam; there will be only 3 exam sessions, reducing 1 session with 2 subjects compared to last year; eliminating the addition of points for vocational certificates, information technology, foreign languages; allowing foreign candidates to use Vietnamese certificates to be exempted from the Literature exam in the consideration of high school graduation recognition...
