On the afternoon of May 8, the Vietnamese women's futsal team took to the field to practice, preparing for the match against the Philippines in the second round of Group B of the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship taking place in China.
Before the training session, the whole team held a meeting to review the experience after the opening match, which was a hard-fought 5-3 win over Hong Kong, then started to review tactical plans on the training ground.
Thanh Ngan was the player who scored a hat-trick in the victory over Hong Kong. However, the tournament organizers counted the opening goal of the Vietnamese futsal team as an own goal by Chan Wing Sze, instead of Thanh Ngan.
However, this did not affect Thanh Ngan's spirit and determination before the match with the Philippines, the team only lost narrowly to defending champion Iran 0-1.
Thanh Ngan shared: "I have prepared myself mentally and psychologically as much as possible, and am currently 100% focused on tomorrow's match. My goal and the whole team's goal is to win all 3 points against the Philippines."

The Vietnamese women's futsal team defeated the Philippines 6-1 in the group stage of the 2024 Southeast Asian Women's Futsal Championship. Thanh Ngan scored 1 goal. However, this rematch promises to be far from easy.
"I have faced the Philippine women's futsal team at the 2024 Southeast Asian Championship. They are a team with quality players and a methodical style of play. This will definitely be a much more difficult match than the match against Hong Kong," Thanh Ngan said.
The Vietnamese women's futsal team is currently maintaining a training pace and carefully analyzing tactics before the important match. That evening, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang had the whole team continue to video conference to analyze the opponent Philippines in order to have the best preparation.
The match between the Vietnamese women’s futsal team and the Philippines will take place at 10am tomorrow (May 9). If they win, coach Nguyen Dinh Hoang and his team will soon secure a ticket to the quarter-finals.
