A delegation of artists from Ho Chi Minh City offered flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the special national relic Ta Thiet (Loc Ninh district, Binh Phuoc province).

Artist Tran Duoc - deputy head of the puppetry troupe, Ho Chi Minh City Art Center - recounted the trip that left him with proud emotions.

He told Tuoi Tre Online : "Every time I pass through red addresses, places that mark the history of the nation, I feel more clearly the silent sacrifices, passionate patriotism and indomitable spirit of our ancestors in protecting the country's borders.

From Buon Ma Thuot prison - a place that marked the harsh years when revolutionary soldiers were imprisoned, to the Buon Ma Thuot Victory Monument, martyrs' cemeteries, the Bo Y border gate flagpole... like vivid historical lessons, helping the younger generation better understand the value of independence and freedom".

"After the field trip, as a puppet artist myself, I have more materials to create works of art to honor and pay tribute to heroic martyrs and especially to nurture national pride and fuel the tradition for today's and tomorrow's young generations" - artist Tran Duoc confided.

According to the Binh Phuoc province electronic information portal, Ta Thiet base has an area of ​​3,500 hectares, located in Loc Thanh commune, Loc Ninh district.

During the two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, the Regional Command base located in Ta Thiet was the last base established in the Southern battlefield.

On April 7, 1972, Loc Ninh was liberated, the headquarters of the Regional Command located in Zone B of Duong Minh Chau war zone ( Tay Ninh ) moved to Ta Thiet. This place was considered the nerve center, where many important congresses and conferences took place, and was also known as the "Government forest".

In 1988, the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) ranked the Military Commission base - Command of the armed forces of the Liberation Army of South Vietnam (Ta Thiet) as a national historical relic.

In 1995, Ta Thiet relic was restored to its original state, including the following items: Hoang Cam kitchen, meeting tunnel, A-shaped tunnel, conference hall; residences and offices of leaders such as: General Le Duc Anh, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Van Tra, Major General Nguyen Thi Dinh, Political Commissar Pham Hung...

On December 23, 2015, the Prime Minister signed a decision to recognize this place as a special national monument.
